Tata said they would give priority access to Tata cars but otherwise their network will be open for non Tata cars too. If Maruti follows the same, they might lose a huge competitive advantage. However I don't see any possibility at all of Maruti going exclusive way, instead they might introduce priority access like that of Tata or perhaps some charging cost difference between Suzuki and non-Suzuki cars. Time will tell!

What is more interesting to me is whether they will give priority access to Toyota's eVitara sister car as well
After all they developed this in collaboration and not just rebadging.

Saw the vehicle that they had brought to Manyata tech park. Looks little short in height compared to regular Vitara and also smaller. Has a rounded design on exterior panels. Trunk space is not that great since the spare tyre has made them raise the floor height. Even the loading lip is higher. Would have wished for it to be taller for more head room.

How does it look in real life? Does it look bigger than the Grand Vitara?

I had checked out the EVitara a few weeks ago. Size wise it is right betwen the Baleno/Fronx and the new Grand Vitara.

Personally the height was lower than the Grand Vitara but it looked like there was more width in the E-Vitara.

Got the chance to check out the e Vitara this morning. First impressions on fit and finish is good, this isnt a typical Maruti. Both wheel well get full inside liners, the plastic cladding looks good, and the rear discs are huge !!

Couldn't get any inside pics (car was locked) and the windows were heavily tinted.

Knuckle test on various body panels indicated the front and rear side panels along with the roof to be thin.

The proportions and stance look good to me, but looks smaller than Grand Vitara.

It's certainly not wood, it's the battery case which I presume is nickle plated metal.

Guess it is the wooden panel flooring being reflected off the metal cover.

Managed to get one night shot of the interiors. Top half of the dash is plastic, the portion along the vents is soft fabric, but it's got a lot of shiny plastic down the center console.

Front seats were surprisingly comfortable.
