Renault now offers a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty across all models

Renault has introduced a standard 3-year / 1,00,000 km warranty across all its models, effective from January 1, 2025.

The standard warranty covers all mechanical and electrical failures or defects related to material, workmanship or manufacturing faults. It includes complimentary 24x7 roadside assistance, while also covering accidental towing.

Renault also offers an extended warranty of up to 7 years / unlimited km, which includes free roadside assistance. Other extended warranty packages include 4 years / 1,00,000 km, 5 years / 1,20,000 km and 6 years / 1,40,000 km.

Renault India currently has three models on sale: Kwid, Triber and Kiger. The carmaker is likely to launch the new-gen Duster sometime this year.

Re: Renault now offers a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty across all models

Would be curious to know: how easy is to claim such warranties and what are the “ifs” and “buts” they add on top. ( or if it just a marketing ploy)

Atleast in Nissan it was a pain to get the warranty approved. (That too the normal 2 year default one)

Re: Renault now offers a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty across all models

Renault is another OEM struggling with limited success. Standard warranty extension is a consumer confidence-infusing step. They could also look at Honda which offers 7 years unlimited warranty. But then they too are struggling.

On a side note, they should plonk the turbo into Triber and sell it as an alternative to private Ertigas. Kiger as it is doesnt sell more than 1K per month. At least Triber is doing 2k+ monthly.
