Maruti Suzuki’s first Nexa Service workshop was opened in July 2017. Since then, the carmaker has been expanding its service network. In FY2023-24, Maruti inaugurated 90 Nexa Service touchpoints. In this fiscal year, the company has already added 78 new Nexa Service workshops.

Hirashi Takeuchi, MD & CEO of Maruti Suzuki, stated that the carmaker plans to expand its service network, including Arena and Nexa service touchpoints, from the current 5,240 to 8,000 by FY2030-31.

Maruti’s Nexa Service workshops are equipped with premium lounges and digital displays. The carmaker uses a mobile app to enhance information flow to the customer. Every customer is handled by a dedicated service manager.

The NEXA Workshop is no different from the regular Maruti workshops. Nothing is premium about NEXA and infact I'd say Maruti has no clue how to run a premium brand. If there are any issues, even as trivial as points or app related that pertains to NEXA, you are ensured that their staff will have no clue how to handle it or solve it.

In my experience, they have not solved a single issue brought to them. Infact the regular Maruti service centers are way better than NEXA.

Might differ from city to city but in mine, NEXA's offerings are much more premium than the ARENA, the ambience, the SA's behaviour, service experience, all are at par with ARENA. I've heard that NEXA's service costs are a bit higher than ARENA's.

My experience has been the opposite. Right from security to staff to service engineers, everyone treats us better in a Nexa showroom. Arena is alright but Nexa is definitely premium. And this strategy works. Maruti have now started to sell good number of cars in 15-25L range which was impossible few years ago. People don't mind spending 15+ for an XL6 or a GV today. So I'd say Suzuki have succeeded in that aspect.

This is why most Nexa customers buy the car there but make some Arena service contacts to service the car there.

Even the Nexa dealers know this when we went to test drive the Ignis.

Well, I am a bit glad to hear your experience has been positive. It might be the specific workshop you use. Mine has never been a good experience. The issues I have raised with NEXA are as follows:

1. Apps, points, scoring, card issuance - Nothing has been resolved.
2. Issues related to parts availability. The local service guy has done much better than NEXA.
3. Insurance - Took them a really long time to understand the simple requirements and the responses have been mostly canned and useless.

There are few more.

For me, it is not about how a security guard or service engineer at NEXA treats me. My key point being the ones dressed in executive form and those behind the contact support have been totally useless, even today.

Now coming to XL6 - The most expensive XL6 Ex-showroom cost in Bengaluru is 14.77 Lakhs. How is that over 15 Lakhs?

GV/Hyryder might be selling in some numbers, but the segment in which it is competing has much better options which are doing exceptionally well. Take the last month's sales figures for instance.

Invicto - Well, everyone knows - the less said the better.
