Tata Motors to launch Tiago & Tigor facelifts in 2025

The Tata Tiago and Tigor are due to get a mid-life facelift next year. This was recently confirmed by the company during an investor’s meet.

The Tata Tiago and Tigor were launched in 2016 and received their first update in January 2020. So, this will be the second refresh before new generation models arrive on the scene.

While the exact details of the updated Tiago and Tigor are still unclear, we can expect both cars to receive minor cosmetic changes along with the latest features.

Both models are currently powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine. The same engine is expected to be offered in the upcoming facelifts. Both cars will also come with a factory-fitted CNG kit, employing Tata’s twin-cylinder technology.

Reports suggest that the next-generation Tiago and Tigor will be based on an all-new platform and could be introduced by the end of 2026.

Don't bother with a namesake facelift.

Bring the next generation ASAP with new engines.

Re: Tata Motors to launch Tiago & Tigor facelifts in 2025

It has almost been 9 years since they were launched. A facelift is not going to be of much help.
They should bring the next generations to the market or they will again be coming back to square one.

Cheers

What about the Tata Altroz facelift?

There was a launch of a new racer edition this year, but the original car still awaits a proper facelift for a long time now. Tata is still selling a few thousand Altroz units every month, which means there is still demand for the car. I am not sure why Tata is not considering it. Very soon, it will start to look faded against the competition.

Personally, I'm hoping they keep the LED design for the EV versions like they did for the Punch and do some incremental upgrades - like putting a DCA in them.

These are good, safe cars, with nice designs. I hope they come to the market in an even better version soon! A few suggestions to Tata would be to find a new supplier for the AMT and to give us a light interior as the all black gets too warm in the summer

Just a facelift after a long 9 years ?!

IMO, they should bring the next generation now. It needs more features now. Just hope they don't put the Nexon's face on this car too .

Please bring in a newer generation with proper CVT/TC gearboxes. High time to get rid of old school AMT. Customers purchasing power has changed a lot in the last 9-10 years and it shows in the sheer number of premium cars being sold.

PS: 1. CVT/TC gearbox 2. Sunroof for cars. 3. Try with an estate variant too; Tata Tigor - Marina!

Re: Tata Motors to launch Tiago & Tigor facelifts in 2025

In a dying segment(Barring Wagon-R, which is a segment on its own) where the margins are too thin, isn't it too much to ask TATA to invest hundreds of crores into bringing in a whole new generation? Tiago currently does not have any proper competition - Celerio sells less than Tiago considering MSIL has 7 times the dealership count over TATA.

Even if they do bring a new generation, the only way I think they can make money is by pumping money and manpower to try to snatch sales from Wagon-R (Ahem) or have people choose this over a lower segment Alto. Currently, TATA is facing heat from every direction and they need to invest their time, energy and money into moneymaking segments. B segment is just not worth any of these.

Won't be surprised if the facelifted Tiago looks like this

They might add cladding and call it Tiago NRG.

Re: Tata Motors to launch Tiago & Tigor facelifts in 2025

Tata really have to bring a competitive product this time. They cannot just rely on 4 star or 5 star safety alone, as the new Dzire is going to give tough competition this time.

I exactly know how the conversation in Maruti showroom is going to happen, they will mention new Dzire has
1. 5 star safety
2. Great mileage
3. Unmatched service quality and service network.
4. Superb reliability.

Not sure how Tata sales guys will counter these points.

Re: Tata Motors to launch Tiago & Tigor facelifts in 2025

Tata still milking the same generation and providing another facelift after 9 years! We are not in the 20th century Tata!

We have the futuristic Safari, Harrier, Curvv and Nexon on one side and the outdated Tiago, Tigor, Altroz and Punch ICE on the other. Tata seriously needs to reconsider their small cars strategy as they cannot continue banking on the safety rating alone (as the engines and service are pathetic) the Dzire also has scored 5 stars and the game is on!

Tata should take inspiration from MS on "How to improve ASS", not on "How to milk the same generation of cars for a decade!(read Ciaz)"
