I just hope they do not butcher the name that the Sierra carries by making it a FWD soft roader like they did with the Safari brand name.

Sometimes it feels as if someone took Tata’s Safari and Sierra DNA and exchanged it with Mahindra’s.

It is a production ready version! Can see a Nexon beside it too.

There is too much glossy claddings on the side and on the wheel arches. We used to get cars with rougher surface made of plastics as wheel and side claddings. If these glossy claddings are made of plastic, then these may not remain glossy and shiny after 2-3 years of seeing rains, exposure to mud and muck, splashes from water pools we find at times in the city.

The alloys are same as the ones in Safari Accomplished variants.

#Dark edition of Sierra would look smashing as the body colored B pillar would not be visible that much.

The design elements look decent in the image. I hope Tata is taking some of these points into consideration with new Sierra EV

1. Make the front fascia of Sierra EV different than Harrier or Safari.
2. Do not reuse center console design of Harrier or Safari in Sierra, to keep Sierra interiors feel different.
3. Provide bigger battery pack 60kwh and 80kwh. Sierra will be heavier than Curvv so smaller 55kwh battery pack will not give enough range.
4. Provide RWD and 4WD option. There are few takers of 4WD Mahindra XUV700 and Scorpio-N based on sales data I have seen in Telangana. Mahindra EVs are coming with 4WD offerings and if Tata does not provide 4WD options, Tata will lose those customers to Mahindra.

Rear portion gives me BMW iX vibes. But man, what a gorgeous looking vehicle! Tata should give it 4x4 man, enough of these FWD crossovers.

Was a test mule of the Sierra ever spotted? Or did Tata test it under the bodyshell of a Harrier? Camouflaged Harrier mules continued to operate after the vehicle's official launch.

Seems legit after a quick glance.
Although it is quite early for it to be out in the open undisguised, the Rushlane article says the launch is scheduled for Q3 of 2025.

Any chance the photo is of a display model that's to be showcased at Bharat Mobility Expo or something?

My first thought was it's a photoshop job but the Nexon and the shutter behind the vehicle can be seen through the Sierra's windows. Someone put a lot of effort if it is indeed a photoshop.

Either way, it's a really good looking EV.

The rear seems to be based on the RR sport. Super stylish overall.

It is quite possible that this was the old display model safety stowed away in a garage in their UK Design studio. In fact we all saw this once.

This looks like a picture from Tata's design studio in the UK. Journos had seen this pre-production model at the studio.

To my pleasant surprise, it looks really good. Had been intentionally avoiding all info on it since it was said to be EV only before and now they’ve got my attention.
I really hope that it is an RWD based 4WD and the turbo petrol gets the 4WD.

Harrier and Safari should have been AWDs at least if not RWD.

It will be in the size of Creta, a tad below Harrier/Safari and above Curvv. That is why Curvv was projected as a mass market car to keep it below Sierra and above Nexon.
