Just a publicity stunt by Maruti, nothing else. Unlikely swift will come with strong hybrid in near future.

Selecting the battery pack size for a parallel hybrid is really a tug of war exercise between cost and optimization! I imagine the most relevant factor being the city traffic conditions with the average speed and number of stop and go's that would go into the model that simulates the overall fuel economy! Anyone here who would have first hand insights to share?
