Hyundai Venue sales cross 6 lakhs unit milestone

The Hyundai Venue SUV has clocked a new wholesale milestone of 6,00,000 units in the domestic market.

The Venue was launched in May 2019. The first 1 lakh units were sold within a year and sales doubled in the next 1 year. By November 2023, Hyundai had sold 5 lakh units of the Venue. The car has been one of the top selling SUV in it's segment.

The Hyundai Venue is available with three engine options. These include a 1.2L petrol engine that makes 82 BHP and 114 Nm. This engine is offered only with a 5-speed Manual transmission. The second engine option is a 1.0L 3 cylinder Turbo petrol engine that puts out 118 BHP and 172 Nm. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. The third engine option is a 1.5L CRDi 4 cylinder Diesel engine which produces 113 BHP of power and 250 NM of torque. This engine is offered only with a 6-speed Manual transmission.

The prices of Venue start at Rs.7.94 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai has already chalked out plans for the second-generation Venue that will be the first model to roll out from the company’s new Talegaon plant, which was acquired from General Motors India in 2023. The production of the next-generation Venue is slated to commence in October 2025.
