Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

Toyota is planning to launch Signature editions of the Glanza, Hyryder, HyCross and Fortuner in India. The special edition versions have arrived in dealerships ahead of launch. The range will feature major cosmetic updates including what seems to be third-party accessories, unlike the Hyryder Festival edition which comes with all official accessories at no additional cost. The Signature editions seem to be based on the lower variants of the aforementioned vehicles. Mechanically, all models are expected to be unchanged.

Glanza:

Starting with Glanza, Toyota has painted the top element of the front bumper above its grill, for a distinct look. The main highlight includes a single-tone alloy wheels that looks like it has a negative off-set. ORVMs are finished in Black and we can see Signature Edition decals on front quarter panels where A-Pillar starts. There are no visual changes at the back. From these images, it looks like Glanza Signature Edition is based on a lower variant.

On the inside, Glanza Signature Edition gets an Orange colour theme with Orange leatherette material on dashboard and gear selector. Orange leatherette with quilting can be seen on door pads and seat upholstery. Steering wheel is clad in dual-tone leatherette too.

With Hyryder Signature Edition, Toyota has gone with Maybach-style dual-tone colours with pinstriping as well. Base shade is Grey and complementing that are Navy Blue or Wine Red shades. The one with Blue highlights gets silver alloy wheels with Teal coloured disc brakes at all four corners. The one seen with Wine Red shade on the outside, misses out on alloy wheels, but gets bright Red paint on disc brake calipers.

On the inside, Hyryder Signature Edition gets Teal coloured contrasts on steering wheel, dashboard and centre console. Seat upholstery and door pads get dual-tone Teal and Navy Blue along with quilted pattern stitching. Hyryder Signature Edition also gets a Rolls-Royce-like starry headliner as well, which is certainly unique.

]HyCross:

Toyota’s popular Innova Hycross premium MPV also gets Signature Edition treatment. Maybach-like dual-tone colours with pinstriping looks the best on Hycross and the new alloy wheels get dual tone effect and look like they have negative off-set too. Brake calipers are painted Red. On the inside, we expect Innova Hycross Signature Edition to get similar quilted leatherette effect along with starry roof as well.

Fortuner:

With Fortuner Signature Edition, Toyota has tried to mask the kink in shoulder line and it certainly looks better than stock. New dual tone alloy wheels, Signature Edition emblem below A-Pillar, dual-tone roof and bonnet are notable elements. The one with Red pinstriping gets Red painted brake calipers and Teal pinstriping version is matched with Teal brake calipers. On the inside, we can see Teal and Navy Blue dual tone effect along with Rolls-Royce-like starry roof option.

My opinion:
Quite refreshing to see a car maker put in so much effort on a special edition. Who would have thought of Maybach-style dual tone colours or those funky interiors on a mass market crossover?! I can't believe it's the same guys at Toyota who created the Hyryder Festival edition, which literally had nothing but the official accessories throw in! Well done

Yikes! The dual-tone paint scheme on the Hyryder looks absolutely horrendous!!!

Hyryder's wheel wells was always too large, and with the new alloys, this looks even worse. Heck, these chrome bling alloys would suit the Contessa more. Alcazar's 18" diamond cut alloys would definitely look better. The blue interiors, though, look good and refreshing.

Glanza's alloys are a welcome change, but the interiors are too much in your face!

....who asked for those rims, Toyota?

This is a weird way to push stock out. But if this gets them to shift some volumes, good on them. That Glanza looks a bit off putting while the Hycross' rims look so out of place. What a mess.

re: Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

'Funky' is the non offensive way to describe it. I personally like the Hycross and Glanza external paint jobs. Especially the Hycross, Black and grey with red pinstriping looks great IMHO. Alloys on them are also nice.

What spoiled it for me are the interiors. Orange? Blue? Call me conservative, I like my cars with black/ brown/ tan/ beige / white interiors. Red/blue/green highlights here and there would be tasty but the whole interior looking like a hippy van from the 70's, no sir, thank you.

However, it's is great seeing Toyota or for that matter any car manufacturer going beyond the usual sticker and decals + additional offical accessories jobs for a 'special edition's. (I'm looking at you Maruti). Especially the dual tone paint jobs and 'funky' alloys. Steps in the right direction for a special/ signature edition.

And knowing this is a Toyota, just like Maruti these will sell like hot pakodas on a rainy day

Are these paint jobs or sticker jobs? As a whole, I think the signature edition belongs to the Weird and Wacky mod jobs thread. They look fresh out of Mayapuri.

Look at how the hubcaps on some of the rims have a blue logo that is not Toyota. I have a strong feeling this is an undisclosed ad for some local third-party mod shop that Rush Lane either missed, or knowing Rush Lane, deliberately picked up.

re: Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

I’m neither surprised nor amused, this is just Toyota following the age old Maruti marketing gimmick of announcing “special editions” to clear stock
These will typically have silly cosmetic stuff like graphics etc. Pity the average Indian consumer who keeps being taken for a ride year after year but never learns a lesson!

Don't think an OEM like Toyota would go so bling with the Alloy Wheel designs. This must be some aftermarket shop or an influencer trying to get attention by spreading a rumour. Whoever that is, the designs are horrendous to say the least.

Damn, these have to have the ugliest and most tasteless special editions in a long time. Seems a pre schooler has finalised the colour schemes.

Looking at the interior pics, the workmanship seems to be decent.

But no way one would believe that Toyota would have signed off those alloy wheels and colour schemes

The way media picks up and spreads the news.

That Glanza

Don't think any Toyota executive would sign off on that even at gunpoint. Looks like a 3rd party thing. Even the number plate has 'The Car Show' written on.

These cannot be from Toyota.

And if they are, these should be awarded the worst special editions!

re: Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

Nobody even in their right mind would approve of such bad dual color combinations. The standard dual tone on Hyryder covers the roof and small portion behind C pillar and does not go lower than window line. Silver with blue looks bad on Hyryder. The dual tone color could be someone using image editing AI tool like Dall-E and make sure that RushLane picks up these images.

The alloys are aftermarket ones seen mostly on YouTube videos. I am thinking some customers have asked the dealership for these aftermarket alloys to be fitted on their cars before delivery as I have seen a Kia Seltos 3+ years back in showroom with custom alloys getting ready for delivery.

Exactly! Not just the blue logo, even the tires look oversized. At max this is a dealer level edition and considering how these editions are picked only by RushLane and MotorBeam, I am 100% sure that this edition is just a fake news going around. These two websites pick and post any random stuff to get clicks!
