These two websites pick and post any random stuff to get clicks!
I'm sorry guys, my bad. I should've known better. To be honest, I too was initially not sure if this was Toyota's work because of the wheels and the radical dual tone paint job, but considering how well finished the interiors were and the fact that the seats were covered with plastic (as is the case with brand new vehicles), I got fooled into thinking that this could indeed be legit (I assumed that Toyota picked the wheels from a third-party vendor) and therefore created the thread. Apologies!

Mods, kindly rename / delete / close this thread as is appropriate. Thank you!

re: Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

Looks like the over-enthusiastic dealer is trying new ways to artificially inflate the invoice for the festive season. Those rims, tyre profiles and paint jobs scream cheap all over. Yuck is the word.

re: Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

Given the fact that all of the cars have their roofs painted, I have a lurking suspicion that these are cars which have received significant hail-storm damage, which the dealer is now trying to pass off as "special edition"

These are dealer level modification to make some quick buck. Alloys, paint are a clear giveaway that these are done at dealer level. Dealer usually customize cars, promise quick delivery and charge a premium.

Those "signature" editions are not from Toyota. Mods, please close the thread or move to weird and wacky mods thread.

Re: Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

I'm not sure but isn't it illegal to have tyres that stick outside of the body. The tyres on the baleno extend beyond the body, which I think is not legal. Absolutely no way these cars are officially sold by Toyota.

Re: Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

The alloys in Glanza and Hyryder looks like the fake ones from those cheap car shops. Will those alloys even be safe? If anything happens will the dealer or Toyota take responsibility?

Toyota should cancel the dealership for this atrocity

This can't be from the OEM.

And these should be going to the weird and wacky mods thread.

Re: Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

Looks like some dealership had a loadof unsold stock and did this cheap practice to move its stock.

I think Toyota should cancel this dealership given how bad these editions are and can easily tarnish Toyota’s image which they’ve built by working hard.

Re: Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

This is THE MOST horrible thing I've seen today. What an ugly abomination!

I beg them not to launch these, please don't Toyota.

This is worse than a tacky modified car you'll see in Karol Bagh. Urgh.

Already gone viral on social media and by the new gen automotive 'media' who will make anything into content. Damage to brand image already done.

Completely vile. I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota corporate will clamp down very strongly on these aberrations.

Cars look extremely "Tacky"! That Hyryder is an eyesore. Glad to know it's not done by Toyota. The interior work and the logo for 'Signature Edition' looks nice IMHO.

Re: Toyota Signature Edition lineup leaks | EDIT: These are dealer-modified cars

How sure are we that Toyota India doesn't approve of these modifications?

Over the past week, Toyota themselves have announced three 'festival editions' which are all dealer-level fitments. May be this particular dealer went slightly overboard with it, but Toyota may be in on this special dealer-level editions.
