I guess it’s time for many enthusiasts to start an SIP for the VRS fund. Many like me still regret not getting the VRS230 when it was available at a reasonable price, hope Skoda brings the new ones via CKD route only. Because once you cross the 50L delta, it becomes difficult to justify the Brand Skoda, for few more lakhs, Germans are not far.

Just when I thought I would never see the Octavia again! This is fantastic news.

As a still-hungerover lover of the 2021 Skoda Octavia L&K, the news of the ride coming to India as RS, albiet as a show piece, is refreshing.

It's possible that they'll be bringing this unit in limited CBU capacity, something they've already done for Skoda Superb. I understand the reasoning, the D-segment doesn't have that many buyers now, with most flocking for that overpriced SUV Toyota sells. Nonetheless, I hope some of those prospective buyers happen to chance upon this beauty and buy it. Who knows, mayne we'll see someday it on the streets of Delhi.

Is there a possibility that the 1.5 TSI could have a different state of tune to the current VAG cars with that engine? I tried searching but it seems that the tune offered in India for the 1.5 TSI is the max everywhere else too.

If new Octavia is now 1.5 TSI with 150 BHP, who knows for India they bring regular 2.0 TSI 190 BHP Octavia portrayed as vRS version.

In hunger for the Octy VRS since a year. Have been putting off my car purchase due to the belief that Skoda would release this some day. Jumping on this news, I immediately booked my tickets to Delhi Bharath Expo to see that beauty in person. In case Skoda decides to release this in 2025, hope Skoda doesn't go beyond 45-50 lacs. The latest Superb CBU release (older model) is an example and dealers are struggling to clear out the stocks of the 100 units planned for India still. If it goes beyond 50 lacs, Octy looses its value proposition of being an affordable performance sedan. People can very well get an Audi if it's beyond 50 lacs.
