M&M seems to be confused not just on how to extend it to 5 doors (and so ended up with upper edge of rear door so assymetrical with rest of the vehicle), but with the unveil date as well. Today/Tomorrow/When. Seems only HOD knows

No, This design is not growing on me till now. It may take some time, however Iam very happy with the way my 3D Thar looks as of now. This Roxx design is kind of some design which has to grow onto the minds and hearts of the customers and definitely not a love at first sight !

For the time being, Iam keeping my 3D Thar and not trading with this new Roxx.

Mahindra Thar Roxx MX1 features, powertrain
Mahindra has equipped the entry level Thar Roxx variant with LED lighting, a dual-tone exterior finish, 18-inch steel wheels, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, push button start, driver's seat height adjust, 60:40 split folding rear bench seats, rear AC vents and a rear USB-C port. In terms of safety kit, the MX1 variant comes with six airbags, ESC, and three-point seat belts for all passengers.

This base Roxx variant comes with a 160hp, 330Nm, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a manual gearbox, and a 150hp, 330Nm 2.2-litre diesel engine and a manual gearbox.

The Roxx gets chunky wheel arches and stylish 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels for the higher variants, while mid variants will likely get 18-inch alloys. While the front door looks identical to the standard Thar, the rear door gets a unique, vertically positioned handle. The quarter glass aft of the rear door has a triangular shape, similar to the Thar EV concept. The Thar Roxx will have a dual-tone paint shade for most variants – with a contrast black roof – that will give it a removable hardtop look.

At the rear, it looks quite similar to the Thar 3-door, but a closer look confirms the mildly reprofiled tail-lamps with C-shaped LEDs, and a tailgate design that also accommodates the rear wiper and washer.

On the inside, the Thar Roxx gets the same dashboard as the 3-door, but there are certain premium elements like soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door pads, at least in the higher variants. The interior has a dual-tone theme with beige perforated leatherette seats and a dark brown dashboard with some contrast bits. There are dual 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation duties on top trims.

The pricing is just apt, don’t think that it is priced aggressively at all. I expect good numbers from this. Might affect Creta/Seltos sales because of the price overlap.
But I personally don’t believe the Thar (at least the 2 door) is a good alternate for a potential Creta/Seltos buyer. It is not easy to drive it in the city.
