White interiors in an offroad friendly (rather offroad-first) lifestyle vehicle?

Who was the person approving this? Appears to be a middle variant going by the instrument cluster and single pane sunroof.

It's indeed a terrible name. I was thinking it would be "Armada" after reading some of the posts here and this news of Mahindra calling it "Roxx" has been such a downer.

Great to see that the rear middle seat gets a 3-point seat belt and not a lap belt.

They should have offered an adjustable headrest and not just a fixed short headrest for the middle seat.

The bench seat design looks similar to the one in Scorpio-N with fixed middle headrest. The coffee brown interiors of Scorpio-N would be better than white interior theme of XUV700.

The car length may be 4.2 meters by looking at the boot space. I hope the boot space is more than the one provided in Scorpio-N with 3rd row folded.

The white interiors will not be easy to maintain considering it's an off-road focused vehicle, the boot space remains small from the video, but the 5-door surely will have lots of takers owing to the practicality of the 5-seats, the features including a sunroof on offer and of course the wonderful engines.

What is Mahindra marketing the roxx as? If it is a 4X4 why give white upholstery when it will be a nightmare to maintain.
Mahindra should have gone with ruggedness which the car carries outside to its interior as well .

There were just two issues with Thar, practically.
1) Poor rear legroom
2) No practical boot space

The third for 2 missing doors wasn't always a deal breaker! at least once you are inside.

From all that I've seen so far, the legroom has improved, but still nowhere close to lavishly comfortable (like with Scorpio and XUV) and the boot has improved but only matches a 4m SUV like Brezza or Sonet, etc. Would I be willing to pay 25-30L, I don't know now.

If they used the Scorpio platform, why not keep the same length! Because of the wheel at the back taking more space?

This is clear indication of form over functionality approach by Mahindra folks. Thar should continue to be a utility, outgoing and lifestyle focused vehicle which takes people to unexplored places and not from home to Mall. Dark coloured interiors is what suits Thar ROXX. Scorpio-N should be getting white/light grey interiors and Thar ROXX should be getting Brown/Black ones. Mahindra is not bothered about product placement but just minting money and going with market demand.

Interesting to see who bullies whom when both Thar and Thar ROXX come face to face at various intersections on city roads.

Test mules has been spotted with multiple interior colors - Black, Brown & white and it looks like the 4x2 variants will be available with light color interiors.

Rear door width appears to be very less, entry and exist will not be an easy affair there. Clearly shows there has been compromises on design front (which M&M is known for).
White colored interiors and upholstery looks odd on this car, this should have been darker . Also, central console looks ugly due to the AC vent placement or with that white plastic surrounding

It will help their service centers push interior maintenance packages at exorbitant rates. Soon you'll have interior protection packages just like the exterior ones - sigh ! (White leatherette on my car is driving me nuts - although I love how it looks, the maintenance is a nightmare).
