Maruti Brezza Urbano Edition!

Looks like Maruti is launching a new Urbano Edition with the Brezza.

IMO Brezza Urbano Edition is worth it over the LXI and VXI Variants.

Looks like all the manufacturers are facing the heat. Discounts, special editions are back after 4 years. It's going to be buyer's market in 2024

Wonder what MS wants to achieve exactly? The Brezza is topping the charts with 16k + sales every month; yet they’re launching these stupid schemes to entice customers.

Similar to Fronx, Maruti should offer VX(o) with 6 airbags. Currently they force customer to shell out for ZXI plus if he values safety. No other variant has 6 airbags, not even ZXI.

Re: Maruti Brezza Urbano Edition!

Feeling the heat from the 3XO, Maruti ? You bet !

On the other hand, dealers are still quoting hefty waiting periods for Brezza. I wonder what's up with the special editions if the waiting periods are itself high and the car has demand supply gap.

And yes, instead of discounted Accessories package, what they really need to do is to make 6 airbags standard across the range, and not just the top trim ! Competition has moved on to standard 6 airbags, its high time Maruti does the same for its best seller.

Re: Maruti Brezza Urbano Edition!

Brezza with a 1.0 Turbo engine + 6AT from the fronx will make a good combination.
Reliable + Safe + decent performance + less taxes.
Not sure why Maruti is not taking that route given they already have that in their arsenal.

100% agree here. Why force customers to buy the top end, why cant maruti make it standards across the range like Kia, Hyundai, Now VW and Skoda, Tata and Mahindra too made it standard.

What is stopping maruti? sheer arrogance?

You got only one 4star safety rated product that too looks half baked with two airbags.

Zxi+AT comes around 16.5 lakhs, do you think customer dont have options at 16 Lakhs?

Hell lot of options Mighty CRETA, Seltos, Elevate all are from above segment.

The answer is simple. It's a capacity issue.

Unlike all other smaller players in the Indian market, Suzuki sells a much larger volume of cars per model. For models, already on sale, it is very difficult to ramp up the volumes as new investment is required and new assembly lines have to be put up by suppliers and the products re-tested. With their being very few Airbag makers in India (I can count 3 or 4) who have to supply to all OEMs, no wonder Airbag regulations were delayed.

If my reading is right, I can see Brezza being updated with full 6 airbag coverage by October 2024 at the latest.

Maruti Brezza Urbano Edition first look; priced from Rs 8.49 lakh

Maruti Suzuki has launched a special edition of the Brezza called the Urbano Edition. It is available in two variants: LXi and VXi, priced from Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Very confusing. Which variant actually gets these? or do they both get them?

Re: Maruti Brezza Urbano Edition!

Instead of these dumb editions, Maruti should launch an automatic version in LXi trim and price is at 9.99 lakhs to take on the likes of Nexon / Sonet / Venue / 3XO.

Especially the 3XO which screams VFM now.

The LXI will get more features like reverse camera, touchscreen infotainment system with speakers, fog lamps with garnish, front and rear skid plates, front grille chrome garnish, side moulding, and a wheel arch kit.

Comparatively VXI gets lesser but price is also much lower for the kit. Some sources like financial express etc say the MRP will be 42k for lxi kit and 18k for vxi kit but customeres will get it at discounted prices of 15k-LXI kit and 4k VXI kit. Not sure how accurate this is because not all reports disclose the price.
