In 2023, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the sixth generation E-Class for global markets. Mercedes will offer the long-wheelbase version of the sedan in India. The launch could be imminent, as the latest model has just been spotted at the factory in Chakan, Pune.

It looks so much better than what BMW has done with their abomination of a 5-series LWB.

This car will make the 5er struggle to get off the shelves. At this price point, and in this segment, the owner deserves class and elegance. The 5er seems to be a fantasy creation on a video game.

This is a car I aspire to own someday, unfortunately these also get too expensive with every generation!

Re: 6th-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class spotted in India ahead of launch

I was a BMW 5 series(G30 facelift) fan for quite a while now. But what BMW has done to the car with the G60, made me go completely off it.

I really liked how the G30 5 series was, and would have completely ignored the E-Class if was buying then.(Also the Audi A6 never came into comparison because of its FWD only drivetrain in India).

But now with what BMW had done to the G60 5 Series, like they went completely smooth with the lines around the side profile of the car and the rear of the car now actually looks much weird in my opinion. Its actually differs completely from traditional BMW design. The front face of the car still looks nice in most angles. Also BMW went completely soft with the ride, so much that in some reviews the E-class's steering and overall handling was much more responsive than the 5 series. That really shocked me !!

So, the only good looking, great powertrain, good and usable interiors (good looking exterior as well ) option left is the E-Class for now.

If 5-Series was 7/10 this is 10/10. This car screams luxury and class. Note that I am talking about road presence.

Of course, they're not gonna launch this with that engine. Can expect E250 and E300d.

Emanates class and elegance, like an E class should. Good on the design part atleast

Looks good, can't help thinking these photos were leaked to rain on the 5 GL's parade!

I hate the interiors of the new E.
I have always felt that quality of interior materials used is inferior to what BMW and even Audi offers.

Other than that, this looks great on the outside like the rest of Merc line-up.

I think BMW should completely revamp their design team. Good that Benz is offering ottomon seats at the rear. But only 4 cylinder engines won't do justice to this class. The 6 cyl diesel engine should be provided.
