What’s your favorite Indian songs that has incorporated cars and bikes?


There are several hundred songs that have featured iconic vehicles for a very long time now. Often used as props, cars and bikes have played a crucial role in adding drama, excitement, and a sense of freedom to many memorable songs.

I have watched a lot of songs where the cars/bikes are probably used as a moving object but here is the song from a Kannada movie where they have involved the car like a hero and heroine.

There are so many such iconic numbers where cars/bikes/cycles played a crucial part. To name a few:

2. Muqaddar ka Sikandar (Amitabh on the bike)
3. Hero - Ding Dong, oh baby sing a song
4. Tezaab - So gaya, yeh jahan

I have been listening this song since year 2000, that is almost 24 years. First on TV and now on Amazon Music. First thing caught my attention back then was the car featured in it (Tata Safari) and always wondered why the song was named Punjab instead of Safari. Song is superb!

I had always wondered about the name of RV used in this music video from movie "Swades". Recently, I discovered that it was a custom build created by Mr. Devendra Diwan, a childhood friend of the film's director, Ashutosh Gowariker.However, I still wonder what the vehicle's underlying platform might be?

I was a kid in theearly 2000s and I distinctly remember this song to this day, where in Rajendra Kumar drops off his girl (Saira Banu) to the airport and then drives his open Jeep, which eventually meets with an accident. The fact that this was one of those songs where the car was actually driven on road, not that fake side screens on a stationary car was what interested me. I used to love this song as a kid in a time when there was no access to internet, auto-magazine, the only place where I could see cars was the TV, bollywood movies etc.
