These two music videos by Indian artiste Lucky Ali prominently featured automobiles in their storytelling. Feel quite timeless even after the decades since these were first released.

As with most artistic expressions, the meaning of these videos can be interpreted in a myriad of ways by us individually. For me, these inspire to keep whetting one’s wanderlust and symbolise journeys — both physical and metaphorical (self discovery, moving ahead with life,..).


1. The music video of ‘Tere Mere Saath’ (album: AKS by Lucky Ali) featured a vintage red and white Pontiac apart from other classic cars in the backdrop, in and around Havana (Cuba). The picturesque locations and the beautiful car visually complementing the groovy melody.

2. The music video of ‘Dekha Hai Aisé Bhi’ (album: SIFAR by Lucky Ali) featured numerous automobiles (buses, cars, motorcycle, firetruck, etc.) — shot on stretches of the iconic Route 66 (historic highway) in Arizona (USA). An U.S. pop-culture reference nodding towards freedom, adventure, and the open road — what an iconic highway/road to experience driving on!

These songs have long been a staple of my in-car playlists, esp., for the long open highways and the winding mountain roads. Always refreshing to listen to.. (credits to respective owners)

(Although neither videos were shot in India, they predominantly feature different automobiles in songs composed in Hindi/Urdu/Persian language mix). To be continued..

It is very hard to distinguish but it looks like a Ford Fairlane 1955. I have been scratching my head for a long time over this. The pontiac and the fairlane just looks identical.
Anyways I might be wrong.
