A fair assumption would be that it is a deliberate choice by the Hyundai/Kia group to save costs and maximize profit because this is a common theme from Grand i10 to Creta/Seltos.

I can hardly fault a greedy manufacturer when the buying public still (despite knowing everything) showers them with tens of thousands of sales every month.

Anyways, this topic has been beaten to death already in multiple threads. I just wanted to point out that it's not an isolated issue with the design of Carens only

Agreed. The GISM (Great Indian Stupid Mentality) to run behind flashy gizmos has left every passenger at the mercy of that other driver on the road.

Again, hope KIA grows out of this stupid game and make the Carens safer.

Kia Carens facelift to be launched in India by mid-2025

According to a media report, Kia is likely to launch the Carens facelift in India by mid-2025.

The Kia Carens facelift has already been spotted testing India. The updated version gets C-shaped LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. At the rear, the new Carens gets LED taillights with an LED light bar similar to the Seltos.

The Carens facelift could get a few changes on the interior as well. Besides new upholstery options, the MPV is expected to get safety features like a 360-degree camera and ADAS.

In India, the Carens facelift is expected to retain the current set of engines. These include the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines.

Kia is also working on a pure-electric version of the Carens. The Carens EV is expected to make its global debut sometime next year.

Wasn't there recently a news about Kia working on getting the Seltos hybrid to India? If true it would be interesting to see Kia offering both EVs as well as Hybrids in India. Maybe the first company as of now to do so in India, considering MS-Toyota offer Hybrids, whereas Tata and Mahindra are into EVs.

If it's one company that likes to offer you a boatload of choices, its Hyundai-Kia, I wouldn't be surprised if they offered Petrol, Diesel, Electric, Hybrid and CNG options of the same car at the same time.
