Very strange... their local language video calls it as "Sit-roh-en" whereas Google pronounces it as "Sit-rehn". Which is correct ?

Maybe the name got 'localised' for India. Jokes apart, it's "Sit-rehn". I've heard many reviews of the legendary Citroen DS. It's always pronounced the way google pronounced. And, since the ad and marketing team is Indian , the company name being French, it's possible that things have got misplaced in pronounciation.

However these names and things are trifling matters. What matters is the product and the amount of bling inside the product. Get a nice product ,and people will be flocking to your showrooms. Look at how Kia and MG did it. For that matter, BYD as well. You still have chance and you don't need Thala for promoting your product. It should be self explanatory. And don't forget or backtrack your promises. We still haven't recieved C3 turbo automatic , or 6 airbags, in any of your cars ,except C5 aircross. Deliver these, and then see what good products can do.
Anyways, Sorry for deviating for the thread.

I think it's LED headlamps.

If they make this premium in feel, I can imagine this selling like hot cakes.

Finally! That headlamp cluster looks so clean.

It's such minor changes that are needed to push the C3 clan. They have already brought in the Aircross' instrument cluster into C3. Now if they add a premium feel to the touchpoints, adjustable head-rests, proper arm-rests, auto AC (with rear vents), 60:40 split seat and stop cheaping out on rear power window switches, Voila, you've got a very desirable car with a beautiful drive.

If I have to vote, it will be CURVV simply by the looks. Of course, before final judgment TEST DRIVE TO BANTA HAI.

A new segment is being created by these two cars and we will see many others to follow in the coming years if any of these cars show good numbers on the sales chart. Just like the transition we saw from hatchback to compact sedan.

Citroen indeed and by a fair margin. The rising window line and hence the boot being raised significantly is affecting the Curvv's design.

Good to see Citroen providing LED projector headlamp instead of their earlier rumoured halogen reflector setup. I hope Citroen provides the much needed premium feel to Basalt's interior.

Is this the last throw of dice for Citroen in India or is there more in the pipeline on the C3 platform?

Are you sure? All Basalts spied so far have had a sharkfin, not the ugly front antenna from the C3 siblings. And this is a variant with LED headlamps -- surely not a lower variant?

100% sure. I saw the name plate on the rear boot lid.

TBH, it felt desirable for once as I have been seeing these mules quite often as the their R&D centre is quite close to where I work.

Looks too good! Also the GLC inspired alloy wheels looks much better than the Curvv's.

Citroen, Basalt is your last hope. Please price this one right and give it the necessary features.

- SUV Coupé will debut with 1.0 Firefly engines in two versions and in three options with the Turbo 200 Flex

-The model will hit the market in Live and Feel versions with a 1.0 Firefly engine and a 1.0 Turbo Flex 200 in Feel, Shine and 1ST special series options.

-The 1.0-litre Firefly engine in the 2025 Citroën Basalt delivers 71 hp power at 6,000 rpm and 10 kgfm of torque at 3,250 rpm with petrol. With ethanol, power is now 75 hp at 6,000 rpm and torque of 10.7 kgfm at 3,250 rpm. The gearbox is the five-speed manual.

-The 1.0 Turbo Flex 200 engine delivers power outputs of 130 hp with ethanol and 125 hp with gasoline at 5,750 rpm, while the torque common to both fuels is always 20.4 kgfm at 1,750 rpm. It will be linked to the CVT automatic transmission that simulates seven gears.

-Live version with a 1.0 Firefly engine, the new Citroën Basalt 2025 should have an analogue instrument panel and only two airbags.

-Externally, the front of the Basalt follows the same design as the C3 Aircross, with the same headlights and grille. The difference between the versions is the absence of auxiliary lights in the Live input option; in the others, the items will be standard.

- On the side, the Citroën Basalt Live 1.0 will have 16" steel wheels and hubcaps, while the Feel version will have alloy wheels. Even the top-of-the-range Shine will have a 16" option. The tyres will always be 205/60 R16. The prototypes run on Dunlop Enasave tires.

-At the rear, the Citroën Basalt 2025 has a lid that opens along with the rear window, as in the Fiat Fastback. The lights follow the style of the brothers but are slightly narrower. Like the C3 Aircross, the nameplate sits on the bumper.

- The dashboard and upholstery of the Basalt follow the design of the C3 Aircross, as do the seats, but there are armrests for the front occupants. In the prototype recently spotted, despite the central armrest, the rear window controls were still on the center console, but that doesn't mean that the production version will continue with the controls in this position. Everything indicates that, as in the Indian Basalt, the rear power window controls will be housed in the doors.

-In the Shine version, the 2025 Citroën Basalt will have digital air conditioning, push-button start and rear power window controls on the doors.

-Regarding safety, the SUV Coupé should not evolve compared to the C3 Aircross. Thus, it should only keep the option of front and side airbags. The list is completed with traction and stability controls, ABS brakes with EBD, hill start assist, ISOFIX anchorage system for child seats, among other items.
