Toyota Innova airbags fail; Owner to get Rs 32 lakh compensation

13 years of waiting time, just 30 lakhs for a mistake that could cost many people their lives. Yet, there's no rule to change the testing protocol to determine why the airbag didn't deploy or to recall other cars still on the road with faulty airbags of that batch. Even though it's a life-threatening issue that requires immediate action, it took 13 years. Just imagine how many people didn't file a case against Toyota or any company, thinking they could never win or due to the duration of case drag. Thanks to the Indian judiciary system.

It should have been 32 lakhs compensation plus a top of the line Crysta/Hycross. Justice delayed is almost equal to justice denied. Hats off to the petitioner's perseverance.
