Hyundai has launched a new base variant of the Venue Turbo. The new 'Executive' trim is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).



The Venue Executive MT is positioned below the 'S(O) Turbo' MT variant. It comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents and cruise control.

The Venue Executive Turbo MT is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 118 BHP and 172 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai has also updated the S(O) Turbo trim with new features. It now comes with a sunroof and gets reading laps for the driver and front passenger. The S(O) Turbo MT is priced at Rs 10.75 lakh, while the 7DCT version costs Rs 11.85 lakh (ex-showroom).

S Optional Turbo has already been a value for money variant and with these additions, it has just justified more. Manual AC is still questionable when everyone else provides Auto AC at a lower price. Otherwise, this is a solid package with both manual and Automatic.

Wish in the executive variant, the basics like reverse camera and LED headlamps could have been given.

Also, robust Emerald green color provided in Creta will actually look better for Venue too. Hope the Hyundai brings in some new colors for Venue.

This makes Venue an attractive VFM product. Since ex-showroom price is below 10L, there will be no TDS, so you will save more too. Good move by Hyundai.

Venue Executive Variant MT (1.0L Turbo) base variant is good value for money. Surprisingly, this variant added

1. Rear defogger and rear wiper washer
2. cruise control

The only difference between the executive Turbo and S(0) variants is

1. LED DRL and positioning lamp
2. LED projector headlamp and cornering lamp
3. Rear Camera
4. Electric sunroof
5. Height-adjustable driver seat

This is a good move from Hyundai!

This is actually a spiritual replacement for the Creta E variants which was priced 9.99 exshowroom between 2014 and 2017, apart from TDS, certain states offer slightly lower percentage of road tax for models prices below 10L which also softens the overall On road price.

The way prices have shot up in these years is astonishing.

Got my first car, a black Turbo Executive MT home on 15th September, and have covered 1300kms till date. This variant honestly has all the features I need, and I paid Rs. 10.4L on-road Noida, after discounts.

Getting an avg fuel efficiency of 12-13kmpl per tank, with the lowest being 6.6 kmpl in Gurgaon traffic, and the highest being 19.6 kmpl in a 5am city drive. The only time it was out on the highway, the MID showed 15.7 kmpl for the round trip of ~600kms.

Will get the first service done some time next week.

The early Hyundai 1L turbo engines with MT introduced in the grand i10 were supposedly having hard and heavy stock clutch. Is that resolved?

Glad to see the rear defogger + wash/wipe on this variant. Hyundai appear to have finally broken their lousy habit of reserving basic safety equipment as 'features' for top variants only. Long-standing pet peeve of mine with the slanted H, so credit where it's due.

The clutch feels quite light to me, and I don't feel tired even when I'm driving in evening office-hour traffic, which I do a few times a week.

Thank you. I was torn between the i20 NLine N6 MT and the Venue Executive MT, and the rear wash and wipe (over the sunroof) made me decide in favour of the latter.

Like I said, this variant has all the nice stuff, including rear wash wipe, cruise control, wireless AA/CP, 6 airbags, 3 point seatbelt even for the rear middle passenger, 16 inch wheels, etc etc
