The Tata Punch is now available in Creative MT, Creative Flagship MT and Creative AMT, priced at Rs 8.85 lakh, Rs 9.60 lakh, and Rs 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

Among the discontinued variants are all of the Camo trims. These include the Camo Adventure MT, Camo Adventure Rhythm MT, Camo Adventure AMT, Camo Accomplished MT, Camo Adventure Rhythm AMT, Camo Accomplished Dazzle MT, Camo Accomplished AMT, Camo Accomplished Dazzle AMT. The Creative dual-tone and Creative Flagship MT dual-tone have also been discontinued.

They had 10 variants of Punch? Actually more than 10!
Punch is the new Bajaj Discover it seems.

Tata Punch now has 22 variants, down from 28

Tata Motors has rationalised the Punch’s line-up; prices start Rs 13,000 higher.

Punch Camo Edition discontinued
Dual-tone paint now only available with Creative DT SR and Creative Flagship
New Creative MT and AMT trims don't get dual-tone finishes
From the table, one can see that while the base price of the Punch has increased by Rs 13,000, most other trims see an increase of Rs 10,000.

So looks like All the Camo variants have been discontinued. Or is it ?

Too many variants in a model line-up are a PITA for both the supplier side (including the company) and the customers. Hope they rationalize the variants further

I do question. Why do they have so many variant options. Why overcomplicate your production line with different specifications. A simplified line up is easy for customers to choose from than see a 2 page model list spanning with so many variations.

I don’t see the positive side. If there’s something significant for this please highlight that. At present, i see this as redundant.
Minimizing model options shall ease the production line confusion and i hope it enhances QC much more.

Off the topic, one thing about Tata's strategy with respect to Punch is not clear to me. Tata is offering 6 airbags and ESP on Punch EV while the ICE Punch is still not updated. If the platform is already ready to accommodate the features, why would they reserve the safety feature only for EV? Just to save cost? It should be noted that Hyundai Exter is already offering these two safety features since the launch.

Most sources say the Punch facelift will come only by 2025 but what’s interesting that since early last year the Punch and Altroz have both been coming with blank airbag labels on the A and B-pillars which might mean they are ready for it. In fact the Altroz Racer was supposed to bring them but it has been delayed.

Of late Tata have been making significant safety changes to each model all at once (eg. Nexon and Harrier facelifts). Even the Tiago and Tigor for 2024 have as standard equipment: rear seatbelt reminders, middle three-point seatbelt, ISOFIX. So it would be surprising if the Punch did not get those changes soon and knowing Tata they could make all the changes together (hopefully including the airbags and ESC).

Re: Tata Punch variants rejigged; 10 trims discontinued

The same reason why I stayed away from all Tata cars. One being the A.S.S. being a hit or a miss, but the major contribution to not prefer Tata cars is the product dilution in every model. Nexon had 12 variants to choose which overall confused me as a buyer, similar is the case with Punch. I mean, colors and feel are given a high-value when its almost the same thing than the base offering.

Re: Tata Punch variants rejigged; 10 trims discontinued

Not only is it confusing for the buyer but the showroom staff selling Tata cars must be a highly confused lot when it comes to differentiating features among the 20+ variants on offer & not to forget some features get randomly deleted sometimes & later on variants also get rejigged! I prefer Honda when it comes to keeping things simple. They're selling the Elevate & most of their other models in only 4 trims - SV,V,VX,ZX !
