Dzire’s LED headlights have reached aftermarket dealers (Omkar Accessories Shop, Delhi) and show the design and functionality. This is the first time Dzire’s LED headlights can be seen without any camouflage.

4th Gen Dzire spy shots have confirmed presence of a sunroof and 360-degree cameras and now, we can see sophisticated headlights as well. There is a central LED bar that will function as DRL. Above it, we can see six LED reflector barrels (4 for low beam, 2 for high beam) and below DRLs, we can see halogen-based turn indicators.

Looks more premium than the Swift for sure! Since the inception of Dzire, it has always been just a sedan version of the swift with no additional advantage (except for the boot). But this time, Maruti is attempting to position the Dzire as the most premium sub-compact sedan.

So not only the Dzire will get a sunroof, but will also get an all new front with those cool looking lights! As a Dzire owner, I'm honestly shocked seeing this much effort being put into a Dzire

Anyway, this seems like something that might take the market by a storm! Definitely a more interesting launch than the 4th gen Swift.

The main thing to look out for will be the transmission. There is no point in having fancy LED headlights and then sticking an AMT transmission into it. Moreover these lights look like LED arrays, so its more show than go. I doubt these lights would be of any use during rains.

I see what you're saying. But, I don't think the vertical strip is part of the tail lamp. Looks like a piece of masking tape stuck on the lamp.

Although I would never expect it from MSIL but possibly a warm hatch in the form of Swift Sport? It wouldn't be faaast but it would definitely be sufficient for most casual enthusiasts like me. The new gen swift is a hoot to drive. Slightly stiffer suspension, slightly wider tyres and the 1.0 with some Sporty styling and hooo boy. That'd be a great fun "daily driver" car.

I say that as a Polo 1.0 TSI owner.

Something doesn't add up. Why would the headlight be so different from a Swift or Baleno? After all, the sub 4m cars are totally about part sharing.

The Dzire has become a strong brand in itself. So, maybe Maruti thinks that it doesn't need to have the obvious connection to the swift to help its brand. Also, differentiating it will bring a wider range of customers.

About parts sharing, even in the current Dzire, all exterior parts except the hood, headlamps and Fenders are bespoke to the Dzire even though they look the same. So why not just invest a little more to change the front end as well.

But the platform, powertrain and interior might remain same.

Spotted a car undergoing testing in Pune few weeks back.

• Looks like full-size sedan
• Had equipment attached to exhaust, got to be ICE car
• ORVM had cameras, so likely to be ADAS equipped
• Partial and mixed camouflage, can't relate to VAG or TATA
• Could it be independent benchmark testing by ARAI?

By the looks, am tempted to guess its a Tata, the rear gives Indigo vibes. The MH-14 TC plate corroborates as well.

But why would Tata test a sedan now?
