The government of India will host the 'Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024' between February 1-3, 2024. Over 600 companies from more than 50 countries are expected to participate in the event covering future mobility and automobile technologies and value chains.



The Bharat Mobility Global Expo will be held at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. Covering 10 lakh sq. feet, the exhibition will feature next-gen eco-friendly products, construction equipment and various innovative mobility solutions.

The Mobility Expo will focus on the future of mobility, covering not just cars, but also drones. Products related to electric vehicle infrastructure such as charging and battery swapping stations will also be presented at the expo, along with powertrain technologies, electrical and electronics subsystems, eco-friendly tires, battery technology, connected technologies and alternative fuel technologies.

The event will host knowledge sessions and workshops on electrification, circular economy, battery safety and EV infrastructure. Auto component manufacturers from over 12 counties will also showcase their products at the event as part of the ACMA-Automechanika 2024 show.

At first thought that the Auto Expo went through a name change with the new fashion of replacing motor with mobility, but the biennial Auto Expo was held last year, right?

So this is a whole new one by the government or does it replace the old Auto Expo?

Search by OEMs and you'll see a lot of bigname car & motorcycle brands participating...even those who skipped the Auto Expo.

What gives? My guess = participation is either cheap or well priced (no.1 complaint of Auto Expo is that it's gotten too expensive).

This is hosted by Government of India. That goes a long way in ensuring participation. The Auto Expo is majorly a SIAM coordinated event.

This is not a replacement of Auto Expo.

Mostly the 'supplier community' from electrification side would showcase in this mobility show. There are many start-ups also showcasing their products or services. Expect it to be filled with battery techs, battery pack assembly automations, Startups on- cheap 3W/E-rickshaw, on board chargers, traction motors etc.

There is no participation fee as such but one need to register in advance through the ACMA website (https://messefrankfurt-india.com/eve...se_Infotovisit).

I would be visiting there to explore component suppliers.

My company will be participating (we are in the aluminum extrusions business). As per my understanding, all kinds of firms, big and small, OEM as well as T1,T2 will be participating. The cost of the booth was inline with most exhibitions.

We expect this expo to be for all mobility related companies, 4W, 2W, EV, Infrastructure, Metro/Rail etc.

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s stall will have models from Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini as well.

Tata Motors Presents Future of Mobility portfolio at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.

I was there at the Bharat Mobility Expo today. While we were there to represent the construction equipment industry, the experience was like an automobile exhibition. Various 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler manufacturers were present, commercial vehicle manufacturers like VECV, Force Motors, JBM etc. were present, there was an entire hall for the nicely named ATMA (Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association) members comprising all the major tyre companies of India and then there were halls of auto component and parts suppliers.

I couldn't see the entire expo, nevertheless, the auto enthusiast in me couldn't and wouldn't resist the allure of shiny metal on wheels on display under the funky lighting and music. So here are some pictures from today's visit:
