That's one handsome looking SUV. Love that color. Will be interesting to see some of the detailed specs, features and interior pics. They need to increase their dealer footprint in India to pick up sales.

Didn't they have a larger v6 diesel on offer some years back? 201 hp/430 nm seems like fortuner level on paper specs.

Re: 2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport launched at Rs 67.90 lakh

New Pivi pro system, new diamond cut alloys finally!, adaptive dynamic, purification pro, changes to steering wheel, gear lever is now on the lines of modern JLR products and all these inclusion with a price cut of 5 lac! This is something new in this age and time when a facelift gets a price cut unlike the current trend where the car prices are increased even with feature deletion. However, there’s no denying the fact that Discovery Sport is a dated product and there’s no wow factor in the interiors. If anyone is interested in a mechanically solid product with not much emphasis on creature comforts and mood lightings etc then Discovery Sport can be a good choice.

Well it seems to be a value for money car, for its segment now if you take into the current prices of vehicles like Fortuner, C5, Kodiaq, Tucson, XUV in their own respective segments.

The Discovery Sport never had a V6, the full size Discovery (Discovery5) did. Now I'm happy to see they are even offering 201 bhp when I bought mine 2018 I had to pick the top of the line HSE Luxury for 180 bhp as all other variants had 150ish bhp. Though mine is also tuned for 200+ but that's a different story

It surely is a good-looking vehicle and somewhat value for money in the current ridiculous market but I still can't digest the idea of paying 75L+ on-road for a 4-pot turbo diesel. At least a mild should have been provided.

That’s the problem with all these cars - Discovery Sport, GLC, X1, F Pace, Q3, Q5, XC60. The engines. First Fortuner and now especially the XUV700 have democratised ICE engine performance like nothing else. Mahindra’s 200bhp mStallion and 185bhp mHawk are right up there with these engines at one fourth the price. If the 700 isn’t posh enough, Kodiaq offers similar go with almost equally good cabin experience for about half the money.

Law of diminishing returns really catches up this segment of cars and their 2 liter 4 cylinder engines. Makes more sense to go electric at this price, else go for six cylinder options like X5 and GLE.

How is the reliability of the Land Rover Discovery Sport in general? I wonder if being on the market for 8 years means that most of its niggles have been sorted out. Looks like an attractive proposition for the price.
