Mercedes-Benz has revealed its product roadmap for 2024. The carmaker plans to launch over 12 models, including three new EVs. Among the cars lined up for India are the sixth-generation E-Class, the new GLC Coupe, the updated GLA and GLB SUVs and the AMG GT.



Mercedes-Benz India closed the year with record sales. The carmaker registered its highest-ever sales of 17,408 units in CY2023, a 10% growth over the previous year.

According to the company, SUVs accounted for 55% of the overall sales, fueled by the introduction of models like the GLC, GLE, GLA and the flagship GLS.

Mercedes has also announced it plans to invest Rs 200 crore in 2024. The funds will be utilized to scale up its manufacturing operations at the Chakan plant. The carmaker is also planning to expand its retail network with 20 new workshops in 10 new cities.

This isn't accurate. The new GLC was already launched in 2023, not lined up for 2024.

They meant the GLC Coupe I suppose. Before the M340i came along the GLC43 AMG Coupe was India's best selling performance car in that segment.

But the new C43 comes with a 4 pot petrol, hope MBIL decide to go with the explosive 6 cylinder with the GLC coupe. The 4 banger does not justice to that amazing chassis, the GLC 300 (non-coupe) is such a great car to drive and the engine also has a very throaty note to it.

The C43 has not done well for Mercedes and is on its way out. Will be replaced by the stunning CLE53 that brings back the 3l inline 6 Turbo motor. The interior gets a complete refresh, bringing it into alignment with all the new generation Mercedes bells and whistles.

With the kind of sales growth it won't be long before Mercedes-Benz garner numbers above Renault and Nissan! Profit wise they will be already higher than Volkswagen, Skoda and MG!
