The truck carrying it is registered in TN (Coimbatore), possibly this car is going to their chennai plant?

Went ahead and searched the number plate of that flat bed , its registered to some road side assistance company.



Dug a bit deeper, it could be Elite Road Side Assistance (Going by the registered name & replacing stars with the alphabets)

Eliteroadsideassistance (dot) com is their website & they are registered in Chennai, am sure I've given enough food for thought here.

Maybe someone knows them & can pull the right strings and get some info?

Just goes to say how dearly Ford is missed among the enthusiast community who are waiting for GOAT Fortuner competitor India has ever seen in Endeavour/Everest. With so much smoke in the air, something must be cooking in that Chennai plant.

I purchased a used i20 and after that found out that Ecosport has the same length, only ditched it because I felt its too big, ever since I am inclined towards that car (Apart from Polo), the only thing that keeps me away is the automatic gearbox failure issue & Ford's exit. I'd be happy if they come back, my next car will be a Ford Sedan or Compact SUV. For that reason alone, I keep a tab on this topic.

Well, I had a 2016 Polo GT TSI (1.2) and moved to a Ecosport Diesel in 2021. Endeavour was always out of budget and Ford never launched something in 4.2-4.4m segment for folks like me looking for an upgrade from Ecosport.
BTW, I never felt Ford' exit as an owner apart from missing some crazy sales during the exit may be.
Ford service in Gurgaon at least has been very pleasant. My car has been serviced well and any minor issues between services were addressed without paying anything.

Sighting of the new Ford Everest aka Endeavour, for us local folks, is just writing on the wall. This has gone beyond the smoke that emanated when Ford trademarked their Everest for Indian markets. I think they are coming back. We should know for sure in a couple of months.

I bought a used, almost new 2021 Endeavour couple of months back. The appreciation to its looks and feels have never stopped since then. It's single biggest thing I ever owned that has recieved appreciation like no other.

Wow this is great news. I hope the plain vanilla Ranger as well as the Beefed up Ranger raptor is in the pipeline. I know a friend who was actively looking to source one.

One more cuckoo mentioned that Ford is actively hiring and is reaching out to people to join their organization. At the moment roles in HR is what they reached out for.

It looks like a base model. If Ford was planning to launch both in India, they have to learn from Toyota and Isuzu. Both of these are very capable pickups, and (correct me if I'm wrong) are rivals in foreign markets. If they go down that route, it's going to be a tough sell.

However, Ford does have an advantage. It's widespread service centers can beat Isuzu's wafer-thin network. Will have to wait and see.

At best they are going to test at Mahindra track. No way FORD will reenter India that too with a 65.0 Lakh INR~ full size SUV. They are done and dusted in India for sure. They have other markets to fight for.

Hate to say it, but the current Everest/Endeavour doesn't have the looks to succeed in the Indian market.

The front is kinda ugly (but not ugly enough like the previous Creta) and the rear is too pretty. It's not designed for us. Don't launch it, dear Ford. We don't want you to leave one more time.

I really can't know if this is sarcasm or not.

The F-150 type front end is the main reason why desirability of the current gen Everest/Endeavour has shot up. The rear end is just like last gen, subdued.

I like the previous looks -
The size, classic looks, timeless, with the circular headlights, was lovely. One could keep looking at it. I agree with what others have written -still turn and look at an Endeavour passing by.

The current look, for me did not have the same appeal - either the front or the rear design. It may possibly grow on one if we see many of these or in-person, but not at the moment.
