Got a text message from a Nexa dealer in Noida stating that the cash discount component has been increased from 1.8 Lakh to 2.5 Lakh for August month.

As far As I know Cash discount is reduced to 0.8 lks as per our RM. Will the discount on loan component still 1.5 lks?

This thread has run into 28 pages; This itself shows how popular the car is! Only glitch is the wrong pricing. Maruti should keep running the ads for 13.37L for Alpha AT which is a great price. 1 year down the line, they should do a Versa to Eeco for Jimny by pricing it where it should be - 9.99 to 13.37 on road

Is this 2.5lks discount including Finance scheme or is total discount 2.5lks +1.5lks+dealer discount?

As per information from dealer, the latest offer includes a 1 lakh cash discount and a 1.5 lakh MSSF offer.

It would be with the MSSF. But the rep did mention that he is willing to throw in some accessories as well over and above this.

I have an open order for an Alpha AT here. Discount offered is 1L basic+1.5L on availing Nexa Smart finance.
I am willing to pay full cash down for the car. But to avail of the 1.5L discount I have to take finance through them. The irony is that Nexa Smart Finance does not finance on their own. They are just acting as loan brokers and are not very good at it.
So I told the sales manager that if he arranges some loan and I get the full discount, I will buy the car.
I am 66 with no loan history and all my income coming in as capital gains. None of the banks are able to understand that. Even the bank where I have significant amount of deposits and other assets keeps harping that I do not have any loan history.
I will wait patiently for 10 days and if nothing gets done on the loan front I will cancel and move on.

I have never taken a loan, I always buy assets with full upfront payment. My cibil score is close to 770 since I once took a overdraft on my salary account and used it couple of times.I took a plunge on min payments loan for this 1.5 lakh finance offer last month from maruti. There were many banks under them, how ever my Salary acount bank gave me a preapproval offer with out any checks as financed amount was less and all I submitted was KYC. The Financier checked KYC and cibil, thats it. This way I saved 1.2lks including interested charged.Give your phno and ask the showroom guy to check for preapproval from your associated Bank.

Have you asked either your bank or any other bank via Maruti if they can give you car loan on one of your existing or new FDs?

If you don't like loans, take a minimum-amount car loan with a floating rate and close it after 60 days. If they insist on fixed rate, then take it for minimum tenure like 6/12 months.

Don't give up. There are 100 ways banks & dealers can serve a customer if they intend to even if you don't have CIBIL history.

After dilly dallying for many months now, casually walked in to Kalyani Nexa in JP Nager, Bengaluru today to finally have a look at the Jimny. Having read so much about it and knowing well the strengths, flaws and outstanding issues, the sales advisor had an easy task on hand and positively he acknowledged all the shortcomings and presented it as what it is!

Need to see how the discounts eke out for the month Sep'24 to weigh on a decision. After all the discounts for Aug'24, the Alpha AT was about 16L on road! Have requested the SA for a long test drive once the financials are clear for Sep.

Lack of under thigh support and left knee hitting the steering column at the lower height were two ergonomic issues seen right away. A proper test drive may or may not yield more though!
