TCS is based on the ex showroom. In your case it should have been 12740. Not sure how you got it as 10689

Congratulations on your purchase.
Can you please confirm if the 3 lakh discount was on the original ex-showroom or on the on-road price? And which city did you get it from?

Re: Maruti Jimny Thunder Edition launched at Rs 10.74 lakh | Jimny is 2-lakh rupees cheaper now

I guess if one wants the Jimny as badly as I do, then this is a very good time to buy it. I keep going to my nearby Nexa just to press my nose to the window like a child would do. And I keep dragging Dad along with me.

But while everything tells me the Jimny is the perfect car for me, I still haven't got the WRONGLER out of my system.

I've just about hit 28000kms in it in the 2 years and 11months I've had it and hence am loath to let it go just yet.

This being said, I am sitting rather uncomfortably in-between the Horns of the Proverbial Dilemma.

For now I guess I shall have to keep myself happy by washing and cleaning my WRONGLER regularly and going to NEXA now and then and taking many photos of the Jimny.

Oh what sweet dreams a fool such as I, am being plagued by!

I have read all your posts and I am going to fire the cannon now to put all of us out of your misery

Sell your thar. You will get extremely good money for it in the used market today. Before the 5 door appears.

Buy the Jimny with discounts. Your usage is negligible. You don’t need a diesel. And you can well afford the gas money even if petrol rises a little. Your next car is considerably going to be an EV and there is no escaping that fate for any of us. And yes the Jimny is not quick but you have a rocket of a mini with you for the sprints.

So time this move carefully and finish it like a samurai would.

Thar is no doubt a great car but you can pull the trigger on the swap. Jimny goes well with your Mini.

You never know what foolish things Maruti would do with Jimny, it’s clear that they don’t have the love and belief of a parent a child like Jimny deserves. For once in its utterly boring life, Maruti has an exciting car in their portfolio and they are already getting cold feet because it’s not bringing volumes like an Alto. I always know Maruti to be a gutless brand but this handling of Jimny sales proves it has no future beyond the bottom of the food chain. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind them selling at a lower price but they should not give up on the fully loaded spec targeted towards lifestyle use. It’s frustrating to see how timid they are as a brand. Not just Kia/Hyundai are kicking their butt, even Mahindra and Tata have upped their game so much.

My Dear Chap!
I love the way you asked me to put all of you out of my misery!
I have indeed, between my previous post and yours, made an advert, with photos, on tbhp and submitted it. I just hope, like a 'True Samurai' I am not in the process of committing 'Hara-Kiri' or 'Seppukku' while all of you Quaff your Sake and Partake of your Sushi while calmly observing the ‘process’!

Maruti Jimny Alpha corporate offer still on, Zeta discount reduced

Nexa dealers have said the 1 lakh company discount on Jimny Alpha AT & MT is still valid. Jimny Zeta company discount of 2 lakh has been reduced to Inr 50,000.

Thank you!
They give a discount which effectively is not a reduction on the ex showroom price. Hence, there is no reduction in the ex showroom price of the vehicle.
I bought it from Jorhat, Assam 785001.

Re: Maruti Jimny Thunder Edition launched at Rs 10.74 lakh | Jimny is 2-lakh rupees cheaper now

I recently acquired a Pearl Arctic White Jimny Zeta AT with the registration *Mr. Ibex* (AS-01) in Assam. Although I booked it in the first week of December, I received delivery just one week ago due to some outstation commitments. Anticipating potential price increases or reduced discounts, I relied on a comprehensive article by TBHP that shed light on the discount strategies employed by Maruti Suzuki for their other cars in the past. The provided price breakdown is a result of ongoing discussions with the sales advisor. On-road price 13,56,076 + 28k Free accessories.

Heard dealers are still throwing discounts for the Jimny even today. Can anyone throw some light on this.

Yes and I also heard that bigger discounts await financial year ending - March.

Some dealers still have a few 2023 stock cars which can be negotiated hard. You will just have to start calling dealers in other districts of your state.

I would love to acquire one of these, but where I live, there is only the two-door, two seater version available on catalogue, and there is no visibility of when the order book will open again given it has been a runaway success for Suzuki.

I don't get the impression that it has been such a big hit in India for Maruti so far? If I were living in India, I would definitely opt for this as one of my primary vehicles to go to.

If you are able to find a MY 2023 stock discount is definitely higher than Dec. But finding one in a metro city is more like a needle in haystack. Your best bet is to locate one in Tier 2/3 cities. It will be some hustle but definitely worth if you are looking for an awesome pricing. Another bright side, I think overall dealership experience is better than metro cities.

I picked a Zeta AT in Dec for 12.21 OTR from a dealership 100 kms from my home.

Re: Maruti Jimny Thunder Edition launched at Rs 10.74 lakh | Jimny is 2-lakh rupees cheaper now

Thanks, sir let me try. Have started my hunt for the Jimny. I am confused between the zeta at an alpha mt. Alpha has cruise control and Zeta has auto. I am confused about what's important for me and still deciding. This is the primary reason I missed the December discounts. I am more towards Zeta rather than just cruise control from Alpha MT. But depends on the discount I am going to get!
