Hyundai Alcazar facelift to get dual-zone automatic AC, Digital Key

Hyundai has shared new details about the upcoming Alcazar prior to its official launch. It has now been confirmed that the SUV will get dual-zone automatic climate control and a digital key.



The Alcazar facelift will get a touch-based control panel for the dual-zone climate control system. It will also be offered with a Digital Key, allowing users to lock or unlock the vehicle simply by touching their smartphone or smartwatch against the door handle. The Digital Key can be shared with up to 3 users or 7 linked devices at a time.



The Alcazar will also come with three first-in-segment features. These include 10 ambient sounds, a magnetic pad on the driver's console and a 2nd-row wireless charger.



The interior of the Alcazar is based on the new Creta. It features dual screens with a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster. Other features include rain-sensing wipers, an 8-speaker Bose Premium Sound System and a Voice-enabled Smart Panoramic Sunroof.

The blue cladding is a thin foam protection put on car bodies while it’s on the assembly line, to prevent any damage to the paint while the trim and chassis components are being fitted.

It’s removed once everything is fitted.

If Hyundai launches an Automatic base model without sunroof and keeps the cost lower than the competition, then its going to be a game changer for this new Alcazar!

I have heard the complaint that the power window buttons are not illuminated on most Hyundai cars. This one seems to have illuminated buttons. Are they providing them on the face-lifted Greta already?

Finally Hyundai has woken up and brings in the basic, and much needed illuminated window / mirror controls.

Since its other Korean siblings and now the Alcazar would be having one, I believe it’ll sneakily find it’s way into the Creta. Such additions are generally done very quietly by them. Especially, for the ones that they have received some serios flak.

It's not present in the Creta facelift but it's available in the current gen Verna, Tuscon and Alcazar facelift. I don't understand why Hyundai India resorts to this and some other cost cutting techniques in a 2 million rupee car!

Hyundai has revealed new features. And it claims that the car has strong body structure, comes with Level 2 ADAS (SmartSense technology), carries 6 airbags as standard safety feature, and has a host of safety features.

1. Has paddle shifters.


2. Includes Sand, Mud and Ice traction modes.


3. 6 air bags.


4. Comes with rain sensing wipers.


5. Hill descent control.

Did you get the 0.5ct diamond pin with your booking? Got a message from Mumbai Hyundai dealer about the same, diamond pin with new Alcazar or Tucson booking.

Longer wheel base may not always translate into interior space. Or it does if the seat sizes are shortened. Both XUV700, MG Hector and Safari are at least half a foot longer and wider than Alcazar. So all of it probably translates into more interior space in these cars compared to Alcazar though not evident due to the sheer larger dims of everything including the seats. Alcazar is a lighter car with a lower stance than the above three cars, with a longer wheel base. So, other params such as ride comfort, cabin design, seat dimensions, vehicle size and stability also need to be considered in making the correct buying decision.

Please try all the cars for yourself by sitting in the 2nd and 3rd rows and decide for yourself. Don't go by wheelbase alone. And then there is big unknown yet - price of Alcazar.

PS: also this data is quite dated. Not that things changed dramatically, but the dimensions etc. seem to have increased for both hector and safari from that table. And XUV700 doesnt even feature there.

I was not aware of any such thing and nothing was mentioned by the sales advisor. I think this might be a dealer-specific offer.

The website says 1st and 2nd row ventilated seats. There is no clarity if this will be available for 7 Seater (2nd row bench seat). Any insight on this?
