re: HSRP mandatory in Karnataka | EDIT: Deadline extended to 17th May 2024

I am trying on orderhrsp.com for my 1994 RX100 however I get the following message -

1. Your vehicle details did not match with VAHAN records. Kindly re-check and enter correct credentials.
2. Vahan Response: Vehicle details available in Vahan but OEM/Manufacturer (Homologation) of this vehicle have not authorized you for the State/RTO of this vehicle, please contact respective OEM.

Does this mean I cannot get it for the bike? Any pointers please?

Was the bike moved across states ?

I know owners of old bikes have been able to order the plates.

I was asked only for the HSRP invoice. Dealer didn't bother to check anything else - owner presence/ chassis number/ engine number - nothing.

Hindustan Motors has authorised Celex Technologies Pvt Ltd as their HSRP vendor for HM (including Mitsubishi) vehicles. http://www.hindmotor.com/HSRP.asp

For Bangalore the installation is to be done at SVR Motors and the order can be placed through http://www.MakeMyHSRP.com

This is working effective today after email follow up with customer service of Celex Technolgies.

No, you need to carry the original RC book and the copy of the appointment receipt(soft or print). No other IDs are being checked.

re: HSRP mandatory in Karnataka | EDIT: Deadline extended to 17th May 2024

Got the plates installed on our car today. I should say the overall experience was quite pleasant. I had ordered the frame on MGA website so that meant the person from accessorize overlooked the entire process(even though he probably didn't have to). Even the technician who installed the plates was quite pleasant. He made the precise punches. No drilling was required and he riveted them into the existing brackets, and they're quite snug.

One thing is they might ask you to carry a physical copy of the HSRP acknowledgement, so it might be better to have one ready. Nothing besides this. To answer one question on whether the owner has to be present? No they don't have to.

re: HSRP mandatory in Karnataka | EDIT: Deadline extended to 17th May 2024

The TVS guys where I got my appointment are fixing the new number plate with screws. They don't even have the rivets.
This should not be valid, right? He is saying get the rivets from outside.

re: HSRP mandatory in Karnataka | EDIT: Deadline extended to 17th May 2024

My KA05 reg bike is in WB and it is not possible for me to take the bike to BLR just for fitting the plates. Is there any option of getting the plates delivered to my home address? Sent an email asking the same to customerfeedback@shimnit.com (they are the HSRP vendors for TVS bikes in KA), but have received no reply.

When I was booking my plates, I saw the option to either get it installed at dealer or get it shipped. This came up for both the car and scooter.
Try doing it online and if you do not get the option to deliver, do not proceed with the payment.

BookmyHSRP does not have home delivery in Bangalore. Try the others.

re: HSRP mandatory in Karnataka | EDIT: Deadline extended to 17th May 2024

Needed to ask this. We have an old 1966 Jawa 250 in our home. All the papers have been updated recently, and 'IND' plates have been fitted(can't seem to find any code on the plate, so its not a HSRP for sure). How do we deal with these vintage vehicles? There is no trace of their manufacturers anymore and there does not seem to be any way to get them online for these vehicles. Will the cops catch us too? This basically means we cannot ride them on the road after November. This is really strange, I hope they put out some more information about the same, and make proper provisions for older than old vehicles

Got it done yesterday in Whitefield Honda ( Bangalore) for my 2017 City. It was a smooth process overall though there were quite a few people. I was asked to carry XEROX copies of HSRP Invoice, Adhaar and RC

Which website did you use to book the plates?

re: HSRP mandatory in Karnataka | EDIT: Deadline extended to 17th May 2024

Last week i installed HSRP for my 2017 XUV500 and 2012 Honda Dio.

I had selected PPS Mahindra, Indiranagar Bangalore and Wings Honda, Hoskote Bangalore respectively.

I am happy and satisfied about the entire process. Right from booking till installation. Booking took me just 10 mins for both the vehicles. I had taken appointment for different days based on my availability. Installation took 10mins each. I am really amazed by the smooth process.

Did they also paste/provide windshield sticker?
