Agree with most here. This design looks too much like it's from Mahindra (kinda like XUV 300, which IMO is the ugliest sub 4 metre suv styled car).

Current Sonet looks way better, whichever angle you look at it.

Rumour: Kia Sonet facelift bookings to open on December 14

There have been reports suggesting that Kia is planning to unveil the Sonet facelift in India next month. As per the latest rumours, bookings might open on December 14, 2023, while the prices could be announced in January 2024.



The Kia Sonet is expected to get several design changes both on the interior and exterior. The sub-4 meter SUV will receive a revised front fascia with new headlamp clusters and a new set of taillights connected by an LED light bar.

Reports suggest that it could get a new digital instrument cluster and switchgear, among other updates. The car is likely to be equipped with 6-airbags as standard, while top variants could be offered with ADAS.

Mechanically, the updated Sonet will be identical to the outgoing version. It will carry forward the existing 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Seems like we will be getting the Seltos's MID screen in Sonet as well. That is one up over what Tata offers in Nexon!

That's correct. This Speedo console is now pretty much standard in all Kia cars. They recently added it in the Carens X-Line too.

Apart from this and the HVAC controls re-design, there isn't any substantial change like we've seen in the Seltos. IMHO, the interior definitely should have been given a better revamp; especially that protruding AVN unit.

I think what we really need with this facelift is a 1.2L petrol automatic (CVT or TC) version!

They provide the same in i20, why can it not be provided in Sonet?

Is this a typo. Which transmission is this as iMT is mentioned separately & 5 speed manual in 1.2L NA engine is already clear cut.

iMT - 1.0 liter turbo-petrol

6 MT - 1.5 liter Diesel; this is a comeback of 'proper' manual gearbox in the Diesels.

I think this would be ADAS Level 2, unlike the Venue; because the Level 1 ADAS doesn't have autonomous braking. It only provides collision warnings.

Additionally, we had also seen that the Sonet camouflage had an opening for the radar on the rear bumper.
