One question from the Vellfire users here. I recently bought a Vellfire executive lounge. In the reverse gear, only when the car is actually moving in reverse, there is a loud sound from under the hood. I asked the showroom guys and they told me all the Vellfires have this sound when going in reverse.

Can any of the Vellfire users confirm if this is indeed correct, thanks.

Due to EV mode, cars make some noise to warn passersby.

The sound which is coming from under the hood is known AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Assisting System).

I've heard similar sounds from Camry as well as RAV4 and other hybrids here in USA and it's a pretty common thing in USA. It's even evident in EVs like Teslas and Ioniq 5.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. I also have a camry and hycross but there is no such sound in them in reverse gear. I guess i will send it once to the service centre to get it checked.
