According to a media report, Hyundai will soon roll out Adventure Editions of the Creta and Alcazar in India. The SUVs are expected to be launched around the end of August or early September.



The Adventure Editions are likely to get a new exterior colour called Ranger Khaki with contrasting black elements all around. It is said that the SUVs could get blacked-out bumper garnishes, roof rails, ORVMs and alloy wheels. Both SUVs will also get 'Adventure Edition' badges.

The Creta and Alcazar Adventure Editions are expected to get all-black interiors. Reports suggest that the SUVs could get contrast stitching for the upholstery and 'Adventure Edition' badges on the headrests and door sills.

The Adventure Editions will get the same powertrain options as the standard models. The Creta comes with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, while the Alcazar is available with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both models are likely to be offered with manual and automatic transmission options.

Considering driving on Indian roads is an everyday adventure, hope they also add ADAS to these editions. But i doubt they will do so, as it is tantamount to stealing the thunder from upcoming Creta facelift circa 1Q24.

And then, Hyundai's marketing team is on an overdrive as always, and they just go berserk in 4Q of each year. Now, they have an adventure edition even without a 4WD. And we all buy it. If you are looking to hire a marketing person, look nowhere.

Seems Hyundai is following the footsteps of Tata. They did almost same thing by launching the Kaziranga Edition of Punch, Nexon, Harrier and Safari. Nothing wrong in getting inspired.

Hope some day the actual true blue SUVs like Thar, Gurkha and Jimmy get a Pangea Green option like the legendary Defender

I'm sure the khaki colour and "Adventure" badging on the fender will take these 2 SUVs places where the regular Creta & Alcazar can't!

Same old highway tyres, same old ground clearance and FWD setup, I'm sure will magically perform better than the average Creta & Alcazar in the khaki colour! Of course along with the "Adventure" badge on the fender!

Why do you sound like you have problems with Hyundai's special editions? Did Tata magically change anything in their Dark to Jet to Airport edition? Every manufacturer does that! it shouldn't be an issue!

Definitely, Hyundai is following the footsteps of Tata.
The Nexon totally has 66 variants on offer including the special editions with which it is still dominating the compact SUV market.
Hope Hyundai/Kia improves their safety

I'm reasonably certain those were mocked too. I remember there being a lot of jokes here when Maruti, VW, Skoda etc all released special editions that had nothing special about it. Remember when "sport editions" were all the rage a few years back and the only thing different were some stickers and a 50k increase in price?
