Land Rover has started accepting bookings for the Velar facelift in India. The SUV will be launched in the coming months with the first deliveries scheduled for September 2023.



The Range Rover Velar received an update earlier this year. The SUV gets subtle cosmetic tweaks, including new pixel LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, redesigned tail lights and an updated rear bumper.



Inside, the Velar adopts the new dashboard design from the Range Rover. It features a clean and minimalistic look with a new 11.4-inch curved touchscreen in the centre running Land Rover's Pivi Pro system. The car has a sleek centre console area with the Terrain Response controls now integrated into the touchscreen.



In India, the Velar facelift is available with a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 247 BHP and 365 Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel that puts out 201 BHP and 430 Nm. The Velar is equipped with air suspension that lowers the ride height by 40 mm in 'Elegant Arrival' mode. It has a water-wading depth of 580 mm.

It is available in a single top-spec HSE variant.

Powertrain options include

› 2-litre turbo-petrol engine (250hp, 365Nm)

› 2-litre turbo-diesel mild hybrid engine (204hp, 430Nm)

› Both are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

On Monday, JLR India said it recorded its best-ever first-quarter sales in the country in April-June 2023.

The company said its retail sales rose 102 percent to 1,048 units in the June quarter compared to last year.

The performance was enabled by a phenomenal growth of 209 percent in Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender sales, JLR India said in a statement.

Initially it did but was removed later due to chip shortage apparently, the latest ones did not have it

Land Rover has officially launched the 2023 Range Rover Velar in India. The updated SUV is available in the top-spec HSE trim priced at Rs 94.3 lakh (ex-showroom).



The Range Rover Velar gets minor cosmetic tweaks for the 2023 model year. The SUV comes with new pixel LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, redesigned tail lights and an updated rear bumper.



The interior features a minimalistic look with fewer physical buttons. It comes with a new 11.4-inch curved touchscreen running Land Rover's Pivi Pro system, 4-zone automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, powered front seats with heating and ventilation functions, a powered tailgate, and a Meridian audio system. The car has a sleek centre console area with the Terrain Response controls now integrated into the touchscreen.

I generally don't see any videos of this bloke above but saw his Velar video as it was the first on the topic.
Boy was I shocked at the lack of equipment in this 1crore plus car. I'm just aghast how manufacturers can justify removing things like height adjustable seat belts and rear window blinds in a 8 figures car. There's not a single physical button on the dash!
This dependence on screens is getting atrocious now. I think in our lifetime we will see deliberately blocked windscreens so we have to drive looking at screens instead.
