Sources of Amit Khare (@askcarguru) tell him that the Curvv petrol will initially be launched with the Nexon's 1.2 turbo petrol. The 1.2 TGDi petrol will come later.

I guess that's alright, this way it's going to cover all price segments.

As per AskcarGuru, he expects Curvv to have a 50kw battery pack and a claimed range of around 450km. Nexon LR has a 40.5 kw battery and a claimed range of 465 km. I am trying to understand why Curvv, with its larger battery pack, will have less range than Nexon. And why will people buy Curvv when Nexon offers more range? Ultimately, range is the key driving factor. I think with Curvv, range between 500-550km will be a decent offering at the price.

I think he may be talking about the actual real world range of the Curvv rather than the claimed range.

Spotted the Tata Curvv being tested in Pune today. Looks much bigger than the Nexon. Even the tires looked bigger compared to Nexon. Car wasn't driving fast hence was able to click a few snaps:

This afternoon I spotted these 2 heavily camouflaged cars somewhere in Whitefield, Bangalore. I was riding pillion on a two wheeler and this was the only pic I could quickly capture while passing by.

Turning back, I saw that the guys were trying to use the battery in the sedan to jumpstart the smaller hatchback.

What cars are these?

True, looks a bigger wider car in the close ups. Nonetheless these things are difficult to gauge in camouflage.

- Tata has officially teased the much-awaited Tata Curvv. This coupe SUV has been frequently spotted testing on Indian roads. The official teaser is now available on YouTube. The car features lighting similar to the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. It may offer a panoramic sunroof (not confirmed). At the rear, it has newly designed LED-connected taillights. The Curvv also comes with new alloys that appear more stylish than those on the Nexon. It is also expected to feature flush door handles and sequential turn indicators.

- The side profile resembles the Nexon and features a coupe-style sloping roofline. Inside, the car will most likely have features similar to the Nexon, such as ADAS and a 360-degree camera. The dashboard will include a floating infotainment system, and the car's seat belts will offer height adjustment functionality. There is also a chance for a heads-up display, as seen in the Curvv's patent.

- Regarding powertrain options, the Curvv is expected to use engines similar to those in the Tata Nexon, with a 1.2L turbo petrol engine and a 1.5L diesel engine. It will also come in an EV version.

- It will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, Citroen Basalt, and Citroen C3 Aircross.
