Skoda has launched a limited-edition version of the Kushaq called the Matte Edition. The SUV is priced from Rs 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be limited to just 500 units.



The Kushaq Matte Edition has Carbon Steel exterior finish with Glossy Black elements and chrome trim. The special edition is positioned above the Kushaq Monte Carlo in the brand's model line-up. It comes equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 6-speaker sound system, among other features.



The special edition Kushaq is available with 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI engines. The 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 113 BHP and 178 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, while the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit packs 148 BHP and 250 Nm and is offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG.

The Kushaq Matte Edition commands a premium of Rs 40,000 over the Style trim. Following are the variant-wise ex-showroom prices:

• 1.0L MT – Rs 16.19 lakh
• 1.0L AT – RS 17.79 lakh
• 1.5L MT – Rs 18.19 lakh
• 1.5L DSG – Rs 19.39 lakh

Looks nice! I hope they have improved the cabin quality in this edition to match the level of previous Skoda cars. I feel that there is still a significant gap between Kushaq and Kodiaq. If they bring in Karoq and call it as a facelift of Kushaq, then it will sell like hotcakes

I doubt any changes are done to the fit and finish on the interior of the car.

Wish matte edition would also be available in lighter colors on affordable cars sometime in my lifetime.
