I remember reading some article about all modification's car companies have to make to various components to make them E20 compliant. Higher ethanol will impact longevity of existing BS6 cars and BS4 petrol cars also.
It looks like the lobbyists are trying to make petrol and diesel cars expensive to maintain over course of time, make it to a point that these cars cannot run reliably after 15 years and need replacement of critical parts.
