Actual honest FE of small cars in Mumbai

Among tall claims by different car manufacturers for Alto, Santro, Estllo,i10 ,spark etc, I thought a poll on actual FE of the small car on Mumbai roads would be interesting and would take away anxiety from many who have been bothering about low FE . In Mumbai where the traffic signals are every 100/200 meters in City driving with engine idling in heavy traffic at many occasions ,and driving mostly changing gears from 1st , 2nd and 3rd gear , FE is greatly affected . Please also indicate with AC or without AC . Also need to be shared that whetther the car gives better mileage if the fuel is over quarter mark.
I am getting close to 11 km/litre in spark with AC on at 90% time. I wanted it to be over 12 atleast. I have never measured ,however on tank full to tank full and have always been filling 10 litres of petrol , indicator then reaches close to 2nd mark (half way) and when the indicator reaches comes to extreme left , again I fill 10 litres. Is it what is affecting the FE? Please share your experiences.

The above method will not be accurate, and tank full to tank full is the best way to measure mileage.

This is going to be an interesting tread though.

4kmpl is very bad.
I guess that was calculated just in traffic and none of the roads he drove were clear for it to gain some speed and use higher gears.

STILL !! How can a hatch give four? It's not an R32 or something. I really need to know some accurate and reliable FE figures for the i10 A/T now. Was about to recommend it to a relative, good he never got back to me and bought the M/T instead!

Thats almost impossible unless of course all he did was floor it till the red line every time. Even then its pretty unbelievable.

Even the v6 accord or for that matter the 530i v6 deliver better FE figures.

My Indica Petrol (V2, pre Xeta) gives around 9 - 9.5 when driven aggressively with 100% AC and through the usually messy traffic in the suburbs. Also my daily run isnt much (less than 15 kms in total) which doesnt help the mileage. However when I had longer runs in the city on a daily basis earlier, I used to get around 10 to 11 kmpl.

I am getting around 14.5Kmpl from my accent GLE in 50% highway and 50% City cycles.
On a recent highway drive with a steady foot i got 17kmpl

Bolero Returns 9-10Kmpl both in highway and city

I get close to 14 kmpl in my Estilo in Bangalore traffic conditions with 70% AC. In highways it gives 17 kmpl with 70% AC.
