Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Yesterday got the first fuel tank-up for my new City Corporate Edition.

KMs Done - 464 Kms
Fuel filled for full tank up - 32 Litres

Kitna Deti Hai - 14.5 KMPL (Its 100% city driving with AC on 100% of time). The mileage gauge in the car also shows 14.5 KMPL. I am surprised by its accuracy. Will post a pic soon.

I have very bad experience particularly on i10. My uncle is using i10 1.2 Kappa @ B'lore & he is not getting more than 10 in city traffic. My boss here @ Kolkata is using the same model & he too is getting around 10 to 11 in city.

2010 Chevy Cruze, mostly driven on highways provides me with a mileage of around 13 Kmpl with Air con, which without the Air con goes down to 11.5-12 Kmpl, used very less for city driving, cant really comment on the city mileage figures.
You are getting very good mileage on Spark .

My 2009 Cruze is giving 10-11 Kmpl in city with 100% AC. I have run almost 45000km in the city & highway run is very less for this car.

Butttt on a recent 600 km trip I completed the trip and the fuel gauge was still at a slightly more than 1/4th mark! That's the best I have managed. 670km on a tankful. This was on good roads with very sedate driving. 80 km/hr in 5th mostly.
I suggest, if possible you can talk with your service adviser once for less mileage. I heard some peoples are getting 15 kmpl also in Spark.

I'm getting 12/14Kmpl on my U-VA in city & 15/16 on Highway & 10/11 on my Cruze. All are with 100% AC in City like Kolkata where driving in 4th gear is a dream now.

Well, I cannot say that I am having a bad experience. Just not satisfied with the mileage of the older i10 maybe because it had a couple of accidents from the front in which my car's engine got minor damage. I think that's the reason behind that because my new i10 is giving a great mileage.

Yesterday I found I had done about 512kms since the last fill and my 'range'reading was showing another 190 odd kms with about a quarter to one third tank available. I have now crossed 10300 kms in my Yeti.
I could not really read how much diesel remained because the needle was hovering between quarter and one third and the capacity is 60 litres.
I popped in to a bunk and filled 39 litres and reached a full tank.

This means 13 odd kmpl in the Yeti in normal traffic conditions in Bangalore. There is a little bit of driving along clear stretches at slightly higher speeds involved - especially the Varthur road, the Sarjapur Road etc, in this, but predominantly I am using the traffic laden, painful roads of BLR with the AC on all the time.
Considering these circumstances, I think 13 kmpl is great!

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

my Oct 2011 WagonR K10 Vxi was giving 14kmpl last month when the service was due.

this month after the 20k km servicing (which cost me bomb of Rs.6.6k) the mileage has certainly improved to 16.3kmpl (490kms in 30liters).

Driving is 100% in the city (Nasik) in moderate to heavy traffic. A/C on about 70% of time. and i am a little rev happy driver. so i think it is pretty decent.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

2010 Honda Jazz consistently gives a FE of 15.3 in the city (and ~ 17.3 when it goes on the highways) with AC on always. It was hovering around 15.8 before a CAI was installed. This could mean two things. Avg FE has gone down after installing a CAI or I've been pushing it harder only to hear the sweet sounding drone from the CAI! Either way, I am not complaining

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

2010 i10 kappa@ 24k gives 12-15 in city and 16-20 on highway. I think i10's lack of low end torque makes it a very average city car in terms of fuel efficiency.

2012 Dzire Vdi @ 4k gives 16-17 in city and 19-23 on highway.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My QJT Manza Aura ABS has covered some 39k Kms, in a span of 19 months till now.
I got an avg of 17.6 kmpl with minimum and maximum figures along with driving conditions mentioned in the Xls sheet attached below.
Its almost 99% A.C.

Hope this helps out any body who is going for a Manza.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

2012 A star AT, before 2nd service, tankful to tankful in City is about 13.5 kmpl. AC on 70% of the times, with some pathetic crawl in first gear.

Hello Caprico4,

14 - 16 KMPL in City for WarongR K10 is really good.

My October 2010 WagonR K10 Vxi is not giving mileage of more than 12 KMPL in Mumbai city driving conditions. On highways the best I have got is 18 - 19 KMPL.

Is there any particular driving style that you follow?

Thanks,

Tata safari TCIC - 10kmpl in city traffic, 100% AC. 12-15kmpl on highways, 100% AC.

I never switch off a the signal due to the turbo.
