Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

^^^We won't. It gets clear with a single TD.
Such a good looking hatch, only let down by the engine. If only it had the Vento's 1.6D or even something akin to the MJD.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

I finally managed to get around 15.8kpl milage under city driving conditions after making some changes in my driving style. After the last tankful I made a consicous effort to drive at least 1 gear higher than I have been doing and got this milage. So no fast starts but then in Bangalore traffic whats the need of such tricks. Getting this milage for a 1.5 ton elephant is quite good

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Ford Ikon TdCi
Highway + City (Mumbai-Pune)
Mileage : 23.3kmpl
Speeds; 120-140 on expressway.
No A/C (80%) A/C On(20%).

I think if i keep the speed in the range of 100kmph then it should easily give me 25kmpl

With A/C
Mileage: 18Kmpl. (Almost 5kmpl loss )!!!

Cheers

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

OT
MY actual FE (Food Efficiency) is 6 hrs. or 8 hrs.
Method of calculation : 24 hrs. in a day and Breakfast + Lunch + Evening Snack + Dinner
So total 4 meals in 24hrs give the FE of 6 hrs./meal. If by chance I miss any of these, the efficiency increases to 8 hrs./meal.

Now coming to my CAR's FE (Fuel Efficiency)

From last tankful : 11.65 KMPL
Method of calculating : Car's on-board computer with Trip meter reset to 0 at the fuel station.
Car : Linea T-Jet+
Driving : 100 in Goa i.e. 66.67% Highway 33.33% City
This includes one 150 km trip to Chorla Ghats. (60kms. on Ghat type roads)

FE during previous tankful to this : 12.5 KMPL (Post #3313)
