Car: Year 2000 Ford Ikon 1.6 CLXi
Run: 63000km
FE City : 9.7
FE HW : 13. My highway driving style is to go as fast as possible but within limits of the car, but this in no way aids fuel efficiency.
AC : 100% AC

I get around 10.5 in my Wagon R with almost 100% AC in city driving. I get about 17.5 to 18.5 depending on A/c usage and load factor on highways. Its a 2005 model with about 105000 kms on the clock

Was there a CLXi version for the 1.6 litre Ikon as well? I thought only 1.3 had a CLXi version and 1.6 came in EXi,ZXi and SXi trims.

Yes. It is a bare bones Power Steering and Air Conditioning Only model. Mine being a used car, the previous owner retro fitted Ford OE Central Locking, Power Windows & retro fitted a remote boot release. The interesting thing is the white faced gauges with tachometer. The 1.3CLXi never had any of this. The Tachometer slot was a dummy.

I drive a 2001 Esteem MPFi in the mad traffic of Bangalore, Here are the figures:

Inside City:

With AC - 13.5 to 14 kmpl
Without AC - 14.5 to 15 kmpl

Higway Drive:

With AC: 18-19 kmpl (No Kidding here!!!)

Without AC - Never checked (Could be anywhere between 19-20kmpl)

I drive with one fill from Bangalore (Kagdaspura) to Kottayam (Erattupetta) which is around 620 kms in less than 8 hours!!

Do i need a better reason to love my car??

My wife started taking the WagonR (2005 model) and gets 17.5 (consistently in each of 2 tankfuls) in rush hour city traffic + 70% highway. She's very light on the pedal. I've never got more than 16.5 before when I was using it.

We use IOC xtra premium.
