However, do you mean to say that you get 24 kmpl on the highways regardless whether you use the a/c or not?

@gpa, AFAIK you get this much in all 800/1000cc cars if the speed is around 70-80km/hr on the highway.

Guys,

Last time I drove Ratnagiri to Pune with speed limited to max of 70 kmph with FE of 26.5.

Yesterday I was alone and so thought of driving slowly to see what I can achieve. So tried not to exceed 60-65 and the result was 29.5 kmpl. AC was on blower 1 for 50% of my travel.

This is 300 km distance with one major ghat ( Amba), Also almost 40% road has small ghats/curves etc. Karhad to Pune which forms 50% of the distance is plane.

I too keep trying to break my own records often.
I have achieved 16.5 kmpl over 900 kms in my Civic-AT.

Don't know whether Mileage(not tankful to tankful test) checked with 1600kms only done car is correct or not;

The Average MIleage in Town driving is 17kmpl and Highway I get 20kmpl. (I won't claim this as 100% accurate .You know ,Mind Calculation as well.)
