Not much is known at this point in time regarding new features if there is any.

Mod Note: Our Volkswagen Brand Conference 2023 report has been taken live at this link. Please continue the discussion over on the new thread. Thanks!

Finally, both the GT variants get the 1.5 manual. Those who don't wanna go for the DQ200 and were forced to consider the Skoda twins despite liking the VW designs more, finally have a choice.

As they say, better late than never.

A much welcome change! There is a very good chance that a person who shells the extra bucks for the 1.5L engine is an enthusiast and keeping this in mind offering the MT variant provides more flexibility to us enthusiasts, hopefully the pricing is sensible too. Way to go :thumbs up

With Verna in the race, VAG had to do something. For once they made it - better late than never ;)

GT Manual is going to be a hoot to drive - Good job VAG. I wish they also fixed the niggles from the older versions.

Black is always drop dead gorgeous on all cars. On the Virtus / Taigun they look smashing. Will be hard to keep them that way I reckon.

I'm curious about the Blue - The Lava Blue looks similar to the rising Blue? Are they going to co-exist? Or am I not seeing it right? Here is the Rising blue for reference.

No, the Lava Blue is very different from the Rising Blue shade which the Virtus currently have. The former is a darker shade of blue.

Attaching the real life picture of a Lava Blue Skoda Superb for reference.

That matte black Taigun looks smashing. Why not give it to the Virtus also?

The all-black Virtus is perfect. Just how a 150 horsepower sedan should look like.
If I was going to buy a sedan today, this would surely be in the consideration list.

Good move from VW. Sad to know that the MT GT is only a limited run. Guess this is their plan to keep the enthusiasm alive

We were in the market for a new sedan a few months back. Around that time, the Volkswagen Virtus was launched. I was impressed with the Virtus, but the lack of rear seat width, questionable reliability and ASS, and the lack of 1.5 TSI + MT swayed my father's decision in favour of the Honda City MT. Cut to the present - the simple addition of a new black colour and a manual for the 1.5 TSI is making me regret my dad's decision :crying Anyway, as others said, better late than never. Good job VW :thumbs up

One query - are the Lava Blue and Black shades exclusive to the manual and automatic variants of the Virtus GT respectively?

From the Volkswagen site:

--New exterior body colour ‘Lava Blue’ launched on the Virtus and Taigun across all variants.

--Launches its marquee ‘GT Limited Collection’ comprising of limited volumes of the Virtus GT Plus DSG & GT Plus manual in an exclusive ’Deep Black Pearl’ finish, the Taigun GT Plus DSG & GT Plus manual in ‘Deep Black Pearl’ and ‘Carbon Steel Matt’ finishes.
Showcases upcoming special editions on the Taigun ‘Sport’ and ‘Trail’ as part of the ‘GT Limited collection’.

--In addition, the Taigun GT Plus MT and Taigun GT Plus DSG adorn a new matte finish exterior body colour, Matte Carbon Steel Grey.

Why chrome highlights in Deep Black? They should have blackened it out fully, it would have looked dope. Anyway dechroming is a simple aesthetic mod without any warranty fear :)

From what I saw on their Instagram page, only the Deep Black Pearl cars seem to be listed as limited editions, it hasn’t been mentioned anywhere that the standard GT plus is also a limited variant
