Thanks for sharing this but I am not sure how accurate this is. It's missing Turbo DCT in HTX+ where as it is clearly mentioned that HTX+ will be available in turbo DCT as well.

The GTX+ Turbo Petrol and Diesel are the same price. As far as I knew Diesel auto prices are atleast 1L more generally. This is definitely "Take it with a pinch of Salt" price..

Turbo petrol and diesel models are priced similar even now. So don't be surprised
Difference comes wrt NA petrol vs diesel engine.

There is no way they can price the top-end X-Line under 20 lakhs ex-showroom considering the current X-Line costs 19.65 lakhs ex-showroom, considering the feature upgrades like ADAS, Electronic Parking brake, Panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and so on.

However, if this does come out to be true at least for the initial couple of months followed by a price hike, then it is a bargain pricing from Kia's end and the top-end GTX+ and X-Line would be the variants worth considering.

Now, as regards similar pricing for the Diesel AT and 1.5 Turbo DCT, it is quite possible as in the Carens the difference is only 50k, but I am not too sure they will price it the same.

Kia has updated the brochure on their official website and now the variants and feature additions are more easily understandable.

I received the following price quotes (leaked) as well from a dealership, but they are not too sure of their accuracy either, they said to wait till today evening for confirmation, but since all the variants are covered, I guess I could share it here, it is more or so in line with the price quote shared earlier in the forum except that prices of HTX+ 7DCT are covered as well.

Excellent pricing considering the feature additions and I am impressed. Surely the sales will be through the roof.

Wow. The price difference between the GTX+ and HTX+ DCT version is only Rs.60,000/-. ADAS features, 360 degree camera, 18 inch wheels instead of 17 inch wheels cost difference is only Rs.60,000/-. Something is not right here.

Right from the beginning, the HTX+ variant was in the 'no man's land'. People used to either opt for there HTX, or jump straight to the Top of the line GTX. Same is the case with Sonet too. IMHO it's the least VFM variant of all.

Pre-discontinuation of the GTX+ 1.4 Turbo Petrol, ex-showroom prices stood at Rs. 18.39 lakh for the metallic (non dual-tone) version. Therefore, on the updated 1.5 Turbo Petrol, pricing is up by a massive 1.4 lakh at Rs. 19.79 lakh. That's quite a bit considering that the 1.5 Turbo is made domestically and supposedly cheaper to build. Agreed, ADAS is additional, but this is steep by all means.

Fantastic pricing IMO. For X Line just 30K more than Kushaq top end and 75K more than Taigun top end.

You get-

1) Segment best 1.5 Turbo P and also an option of a Turbo diesel at the same price.
2) A better 5 seater car
3) Better road presence
4) Better boot capacity
5) Features Features and more! Pano Sunroof, Dual Zone AC, HUD, Fully digital MID with customizable options, All touch up down for all windows, EPB with Auto Hold, ADAS Level2. List is just endless
6) Better ASS and reliability

You may lose-
1) Ride and handling still awaiting the reviews. I feel the steering setup of pre facelift setup was much better then VW twins, but ride quality was better in VWs, be it low or high speed.


Anyone not concerned with GNcap ratings, Seltos is a no brainer.

Look how smart KIA is. They discontinued top-end models some time back and now there is no price difference comparison for those models. For lower variants, they have not done a huge bump in prices (of course not going to have huge addition of features as well) and there is suddenly a perception that KIA is a good company to Indian Public.

The Creta Automatic Petrol Top end retails at 18.3L Ex-showroom. Apart from ADAS, what is Seltos bringing in to have a premium of 1.6L difference over Creta? As automowheels pointed out, the 1.5 turbo being made domestically should allow more cushion for Kia to play with right?
