Re: Harrowing PDI experience with a Tata Tiago XZA+

Your location says Goa. In a coastal town like Goa, these exposed bits on the metal are going to corrode soon anyway. Plus, why should you settle for something in this shape? Wouldn't wish this upon anyone, absolutely scorn worthy! Report it to the higher ups, drag the dealership's name through the mud for the very idea of trying to sell a customer a lemon like this. Seriously, what can any salesman even spin yarn about in this case?

Agree with you brother. If after sale service and reliability matters, simply walk away from Tata.
I too had almost finalised Tiago XZA+ for my father considering it’s was the smallest, 4 star Automatic. How ever with so many thread on T-bhp on its reliability and poor after sale experience, I started looking else where. Finally went for Honda Amaze S CVT Petrol. It was a compromise in terms of features and a budget stretch of 90k + because reliability matters.

Dear MADisMynAMe, what was your final decision ? Whether the suggestions shared here by BHPians came in handy ?

Oh, thanks for asking! A strong YES!
Since it was advised by most of the Bhpians to shift the booking to another brand, we did. We decided to move up a segment and chose the Ignis. My mother loved the interior space and features offered in the car, and the turning radius was lovely! We were also given discounts and additional accessories by the dealer! We booked the car in the Zeta AMT in the new Cerulean Blue colour (yep, the one offered in the Grand Vitara as the Nexa Blue was discontinued for all vehicles) and got the car delivered within a week!
It's been 3 days only and the car is working smooth!

Our NexAddition, with our rare blue Seltos!

P.S: Is it possible to install mudflaps on the car?

Re: Harrowing PDI experience with a Tata Tiago XZA+

I too had a very similar but different experience. I was in need for a city car and hence chose for Tiago EV and was lucky enough to get it booked under the introductory prices. The booking was directed to Derik Motors, Trivandrum.
I received a mail from Tata Motors and that is it, absolute silence. Then one fine morning, during the last week of Feb, received a call from the dealership to do complete payment as the Car has been allotted and shipped. Though I was aghast by the rush for money, I complied and got my finances ready. But then there was another bout of silence. SBI, being SBI, disbursed the loan on the 10th of March and then I had to place a call with the salesperson to know the status of the vehicle. At first, he denied allocation of the car, soon to change to car is in transit. A day later, it was changed to car has reached the yard and when I insisted on a PDI, I was told that the salesperson will not be available until couple of days after as they are out for test drives all day long.
I waited for couple more days and finally got PDI done on the car, which thankfully went without any major incidents. Again there was silence from the dealership and upon raking the sales guy a few days after, I was told my loan has not been approved. This was the heights and I got SBI personnel on call who showed proof of loan disbursement on 10th of March 2023.
Finally in the current week, the Car has gone for registration, only to be told in the last moment that even though my car is less than Rs. 10 lakhs under offer pricing, I am supposed to pay TCS. This too I had obliged but lost it finally when they were asking more time to deliver the car.
I had to put my foot down and got a confirmation that the car will be delivered on 31st. But the dealership is yet to confirm on the accessories I had ordered or the speed charging point to be installed by Tata Power at my home.
I have started to regret the decision to get a TATA car after a long list of manufacturers, none of whom have ever disappointed me.
