How come an engine determine whether the vehicle can have hydraulic or electric power steering. Jeep Compass and MG Hector have the same diesel engine and I guess both have electric power steering. Correct me if I am wrong.
Moreover, it is highly anticipated that this update in harrier and safari will get the EPS. The engine specs will remain the same and it will remain as a significant drawback as compared to XUV700. Otherwise, I am expecting the new updated safari to be a better overall package than XUV700.

Got a call from showroom regarding booking. Token amount is 51k. Asked regarding substantial jump in the amount as compared to 21k/25k earlier, was stated that it is their flagship vehicle and is mainly concentrated towards people with proper intention of buying the car.

The amount is fully refundable though, as the norms have been.

Good to hear; But they want bookings with no details out yet? No revised brochure or revised prices? Is it possible to ask them on these details?

One of my colleagues booked the new Safari on 4th October itself. He was eagerly waiting for the facelift and made the booking the day first teaser was released. He made a payment of Rs 21k only to the dealership. He has been promised delivery as soon as the vehicle is available for delivery.

Do we know anything more ? I am still waiting to hear from the SA. But did not see any update from TATA. I am sure TATA has fixed some of the ergo issues with dash redesign and hopefully a lighter steering feel. Apart from that I cant ask for more.

One of the videos going around with the ambient lighting does seem to indicate there are no changes to this aspect from the current model.

Its strange that the new Safari is showing up in its full glory on TML website but looks like website is work in progress. As you move towards different tabs, current model is still showing when you look for colours etc.

1.Same engine and tranny
2. Smart gear shifter for Auto
3. Paddle Shifters
4. New placement of drive mode buttons
5. Voice assisted sunroof - (did I get that right?)
6. Power boot gesture controlled
7. Dual Zone ACC
8. Quite a few new colors
9. Bi LED Projector Headlamps
9. 7 Airbag - addition for Driver Knee airbag
10. Bigger infotainment screen with 10 speakers

and some more that were known. Quite an update.

Looks like we have more updates in the website. I don’t know why this harrier interior looks so gaudy with minty green and purple ambient lights. First it was nexon with the purple seats and now this. Some one at TML is either colourblind or having some special liking for this purple color.

That alone is enough for me to walk away from my harrier booking.

Yeah, the company has officially started the booking themselves. All the details will be out once the vehicle is officially launch. In the meantime we will get to know the details of the vehicle through various teasers released by Tata Motors by the time of the launch

Yeah, even our SA was ready to take a booking amount of 25k for an unofficial booking on our visit to the showroom last Saturday but he himself suggested to wait for the official bookings to start

We'll probably get to know all the details on the day of official launch. In the meantime, official and unofficial teasers are our only source! Showroom guys don't have any new information in comparison to us/the forum.

Don't lose heart so early pal, they have got many new colors and ambient lights are customizable to more than one color.

That white steering wheel will be so hard to maintain and will start looking old and soiled soon.
