I hope the roofliner isn’t in dark grey shade like that of the Seltos GTX. It makes the cabin look terribly claustrophobic!

I’m not sure if it’s the lighting or what, but the A pillars do look of pretty dark shade.

Given the pro-active nature of the Hyundai / Kia group, I’m sure we will see 6 airbags standard in both, i20 and the upcoming Sonet facelift. They’ve already introduced the headrest for the rear passenger in the middle which I believe is an upcoming norm ; sadly at the cost of rear centre armrest!

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Oh, looks like Valentines day for few came in early in the form of Nexon pure Flame Red best looking car in C-SUV segment, hands down!

Tata seems to have hit the ball out of the park with this design! I'd reserve my comments on the quality and finesse until the official review thread comes up!

Nevertheless, well done, Tata!

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

The detailed variant wise brochure is here. Its quite a bit and so confusing.

I get why manufacturers have so many variants and options, but I prefer to keep things simple, like Apple products perhaps?

Another example that comes to mind is Audi. At least in the US they used to have only 3 variants, Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige. Simple, very easy to understand and straightforward.

Anyway, good luck trying to figure out which variant has what.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Did the boot space increase from 350L to 382L ? I thought the outer dimensions or wheelbase hasn't been changed. Any idea as to where the extra space comes from? Or is there some redesign or impact to the rear leg room ?

I don't think boot space has "physically increased". TML has just used a different measurement range to measure luggage volume. If you see the brochure, it's marked in asterisk that the luggage volume is as per VDA V215.
This measurement range specifies luggage volume measurement for a five seater vehicle with a fixed rear seat back, up to the roof liner and not the bottom of the parcel shelf. VDA V220 restricts luggage space measurement to the parcel shelf.
So "on paper" you get a bigger boot although practically you will try not to load in a way that blocks your rearward visibility completely.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Got a look at the official brochure for the 2023 Nexon Facelift.

COLOR OPTIONS
Seems like each variant upwards of Pure has a special color option assigned just for that variant only, in addition to the 3 standard color options available for every variant. Pure Grey is limited to PURE variants, similarly my personal favourite Creative Ocean has been limited to CREATIVE variants only and so is the Fearless Purple for the FEARLESS variant only.

It is worth noting that the Fearless has Black roof as option for every color mentioned above and Creative variants are offered with White Roofs as an option with every color above.

What exactly is the difference between the Two interior options on the CREATIVE variants???

The overall feature set is quite rich and diverse with the CREATIVE/CREATIVE+ variants appearing to be the most VFM. The Nexon was already a very well rounded package and this update seems to make this vehicle an even more mouth watering proposition.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

I had a nagging feeling that they will restrict specific color options for specific trims (due to the similarity in names), turned out to be true. In a bit of a fix now since the Creative + has everything I need but I don't quite want the Ocean color since it's so similar to my Safari Adventure Persona. And the white roofs are such an unknown! I was really into the Purple color but it's only available for the Fearless trim.

They have created a crazy narrow set of colour combinations. They have dropped or withheld Royal Blue, Tactonic Blue and Dark Editions. All these would have looked nice on this version.

Also, the white roof looks nice and ages well too. A friend has red+white combo Nexon and it looks good after a couple of years. It may be worth looking at in person.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

It will be interesting to see as to how they will price the 1.5 Diesel Engine variants . They are only available from the pure variant, whereas in the outgoing model it was available from the base model itself, and the base Diesel being in high demand.

There is also discrepancy in brochure where petrol AMT is shown being available from creative variant, while it is as available from Pure variant as shown during the presentation and as mentioned in the earlier posts in this thread .

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Can anyone confirm if the adjustable head rests(front and rear) are standard in all variants.
I remember Magnite had offered it at it's launch.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

I am just curious to know that whether Tata Motors will provide the Dark Edition or not. I have booked the current
Nexon Dark Edition some 2 months back but kept on hold and was waiting for the facelift.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Does anyone got to know the interior trim options just like the external colour? Purple interior is serious turn-off and i hope there is option for other colour options for fearless trim

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

The website shows the Pure variant in the Grey shade. Tata should have given better wheel caps, these simple silver ones look rather plain and ruin the design. But, at least they made an effort to show the lower variants too.

For the first time AFAIK, a brochure that shows the actual variant that you'd be getting, with interior pics even. I really appreciate the upfront transparency by Tata here.

Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023-screenshot-20230903-091145.png

Almost every other brand shows only the top end variant in their brochures, with only the spec sheet mentioning the lower variants. AFAIK, the XUV700 website had all the variants available in the 3D preview/Configurator. MG also has them in their configurator for the Astor. I might be wrong about this, but I am pretty sure that Tata is the only one with the base variant on the brochure.

Notably, the base variant has black steel wheels. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. It's good if you fit wheel caps, as it will be a better backdrop for a wheel cap design, but on their own, black steelies get dirty and dusty real fast.

I am still not sold on the rear design, as it still looks as bad as the original to me. However, the overwhelming success of the Nexon so far suggests that this might not be a turn off for most buyers. I think that they should have done some cladding or creases on the boot lid to make it less slab-ish. A revised design for the tail lamps with a tall profile or extensions would have done wonders here. I assume that Tata does not want any association with the Indica or Vista with the vertical tail lamps. The current design makes the glass area look disproportionate, and the tail gate looks like an afterthought, or a leftover. Sorry to harp on so much about the rear design here, Tata had an opportunity to do a genuine makeover here in line with the gorgeous Harrier and Safari, and they lost the plot.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

The designers have done a fabulous job in hiding the excessively drooping C pillar. Also the bonnet seems to be more raised than earlier.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

This is quite a modern design by TATA.
I like it!!!

What about the head lights. to me it seems too small.
How is the beam spread and throw.

Grateful if the moderators can shine a "light" in this area..
