(Albeit in Nexon a lot of things in the interior would be colour coordinated) while the base & mid models will have regular black interiors? or it it going to be some sort of optional pack across all the variant.

Why they use this glossy piano black ?
It is prone to scratches and then turns into scratchy grey.
Not sure, how this will age. Otherwise, this iteration of nexon looks futuristic and well sorted.

This is one pain area in the Nexon ! Nexon never had good storage spaces in the cabin, viz. cup holders in the front, sunglass holder and the likes. TATA cars are known to be spacious in general; but somehow the proper utilisation of the same especially in the centre console is poor. I had hopes that they would fix this in the facelift; alas !

I don't like the purple interior colour scheme but it does not look bad at all. Don't we have similar odd colour combinations even in luxury cars? Recent example is the latest GLC. It may find few takers as fit and quality looks pretty good.

I don't think so. They should provide all color options at least on top variants (unlike Kia Seltos). I saw a white AT with a big ICE (probably a top-end).

Tata has tried hard to make the Nexon look more edgy and modern. However, the gawky egg shaped underlying monocoque is hard to disguise. It looks like the modern features such as the slim eyelids, edge-to-edge LED stripes, sharp edged bumpers etc. Have been pasted on to the old baloon-on-high-heels shape of the Nexon. The car is pretty old, originally launched in 2017 - TATA should have done a full redesign by now, and launched the second generation Nexon instead of just a facelift. Considering it is their highest selling model, they have been lethargic on the life cycle management activities.
