This is shaping out to be one of the most desirable CSUVs in the country. Well deserved too considering that Nexon was the name plate that changed the fortunes for Tata. Eagerly awaiting launch of the EV variant!
Is there an update on the Nexon eV facelift launch? I am hearing its also getting launched on the same date i.e. 14 Sept 23. Can someone please confirm?
The facelift definitely makes it desirable. The side profile of the car is the only weakness in my opinion. Let's hope they also launch Nexon EV along with the combustion engine models.
Will give the Hyundai/Kia twin a stiff competition!
From looking like an odd ball (Pun intended) in the initial spy pics to this handsome looking car in the latest pictures, I think Brezza can get used to staying in the second spot in sales after getting back to first place in the last couple of months. Turbo Petrol with DCA, if launched (Will they launch? I am hopeless after observing TML for a long time) and this killer looks will seal it's first place in sales chart. Who knows, Nexon may surpass 20K per month sales as well (Not far from the 15-16K it used to do not so long ago in its current gen!) :Cheering:
Pardon me but the new Nexon in violet shade reminds of the car from "Tarzan the wonder car"rl: .
I may be in a minority but the older design made it look more butch. This looks like a tamed animal. Ideally they should have just updated the rear and kept the front the same. The quality of plastics too seem to be low. They should have used the shiny piano black instead of the plain plastics
I have had similar thoughts on the design. My thoughts have evolved from:
1. Nice new rear design
2. What a tasteless front design
3. I want to replace my i20 with this.
Roller coaster…
Did anyone observe the paddle shifters and there is a P in the automatic gearbox now, that's definitely DCT for you 😉
Went to TML today for some official work and spotted this beauty in the daylight. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with the front look shown in pics earlier but when saw it in the flesh, it was a very handsome-looking front.
The rear looks more refreshing than earlier.
The main updates are on the interior. It looks premium, better than Brezza any day. we will get automatic (probable DCA), paddle shifters, and a 10.25-inch display that looks large (may be an illusion). The engine was running but the logo on the steering was not lit (seems there is a provision to switch it off).
Could not get any info on mechanical though because of time availability.

Had a word with one of the CE, they are targeting 22K per month by 2025 (optimistic).
Many of us (if not most) are of the opinion that the new rear is a copy of i20.
But what i feel is that the current craze with the Indian automobile industry and manufacturers is to just connect the tail lights in any car they launch. rl: (don't know everyone is so obsessed on this one thing lately)
If we go by that logic and just connect the tail lights of the old rear, it would look somehow like this
Nexon already had this split design on the rear lights and the new rear just have made the final split more prominent from the door rather than this odd looking fish tail end. lol: i would say a pretty neat job. They have done something to get rid of that egg-ish look from the rear with the side cuts.
Look at the new rear end just below for comparison
If copy claim is to be made, i would say the front lower headlight+mini fog lamp traingle and cuts looks Control+C, Control+v from the Korean giants!
Can't say if the front could grow on us at this point, but man the old front with this new rear would be a stunner to look at!
Mind blowing looks during the night! I have the current Nexon ev, and if Tata gives a good value who knows? I might already be sold looking at the smart looking derrière and the classy gear knob.

Nope, let us not blame Tata alone. Rear wiper is treated as a premium safety feature by almost every car manufacturing company in India.
They are not going to provide it across all variants, unless the government mandates it.

True, but the defogger should be provided atleast from the second base and shouldn't be reserved only for the top end variant.
I would suggest TML to get rid of the 4m shackles and unleash a 4.3m Nexon Max with great cabin and boot space. The CSUV market would be shocked.
Why don't Tata Motors make the look of the Nexon palatable for once while they still have the chance, particularly the toyish backside and the side profile. The front was okay though, but I think they are already screwing that also.
