I do miss the white lines on the window sills and rear, but I think I am in a small minority of people there. I thought they made it very very unique in a sea of SUVs, and when I buy the new one, I will try to get a contrast paint/wrap done.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

The Smart+ variant is just sufficient without complicated electronics and for enjoying the drive of the car without being unnecessarily distracted.

The 6 Air bags being standard with all the safety measures coupled with tata build quality makes the nexon value for money.

Without rear camera? Isn't rear camera a necessity these days given the tight parking spots we have in cities.

They should've given rear defogger as a standard feature. Since this is an "expected" list, let's see how the final one looks.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Regarding the non provision of rear camera ,it's utility depends upon the personal experience, till date in my 3 cars there is no provision for back camera, heck in my first two cars which one of which I am having till date it has no parking sensor, let alone leave back camera.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

About time Tata realized that rear wiper/ washer, rear defogger were safety features, and they belong in the base variant, and not on the XZ+ variant.

A few more weeks, and we will know what has changed with respect to the new nomenclature of variants.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

New Nexon screams "sub 4m car", pre facelift one looks quite big, IMHO, bigger than it is. This one looks like a slightly larger Punch/Altroz

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Is Nexon a good looking car? Definitely YES.

Will the facelift make it a better looking car? Mostly YES

Are there any changes (w.r.t. engine or transmission) other that design or features?

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Not a fan of LED headlamps (case in point, the blinding lights of the Innova and Fortuner). Will reserve my comments on the looks, as beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Taking active and passive safety features into account, the rear defogger and wiper/washer are active safety features and not an accessory or luxury item. It can't be fitted aftermarket as well. More important than the 6 airbags that are deployed in the event of a crash.

Hope Tata makes note of this glaring mistake.

One more thing I'm glad is that the moniker (Pure, Creative, Smart or Fearless) is not placed as a badge on the body. Would probably be one of the silliest of moves. Prices seem to be moving upward with every passing year. Something that was priced below 10L and topping off around 14L seems to be hitting the 20 mark or crossing it. This is essentially the body size of the Vista with a higher ground clearance.

The devaluation of the Rupee is haunting. Two months ago, I picked up a 2014 Pajero Sport for a shade less than 9L. A much larger, more capable, robust vehicle with seven seats and exemplary off-road capabilities. Not berating the success of the Nexon. It's well deserved. Not a comparison of the two cars. Only looking at the value of the rupee.

Nexon in white colour will actually reveal the new design elements and other details, however from the video it doesn't look better than current version.

Re: Tata Nexon Facelift launch in September 2023

Hi, with time Nexon has become a powerful brand itself, as big as Safari for Tata. However, the facelift made Nexon look more of a raised hatchback than a better looking crossover as the one currently. Road presence will be very similar to Renault Kiger / Nissan Magnite (in a bad way).

However, since Nexon has fantastic past, it will continue to sell slightly less than earlier Nexon because of increase in price of AT and poor FE.

I hope Tata won't be greedy and launch Nexon facelift at the currently selling price for MT and not more than 60K for AT.

Nice feature list. IMHO creative+ is the best with all the required features with gizomos. The only missing things are the rear defogger, wireless charger (both can not be done in the aftermarket), and 60-40 rear seat.

Paddle shifters are a welcoming feature for automatics. Kudos to Tata for this (or mere peer pressure?).

Creative+ also looks to be a value-for-money variant with a nice balance between mandatory features and tech gizmos.

Pure+ is going to be a base model according to me. There will be very less buyers for smart(+). The only issue is with the 7-inch touchscreen. Bigger touch screen is a norm nowadays (not a fan of it though)

No mention of a sunroof here. Is it optional for all the variants?

Smart+ looks like the base variant to have, while IMO the Creative variant is decently loaded and most likely to be the highest seller. Though beats me why the front centre armrest, 60:40 folding rear seats and rear defogger (rear wiper is there in mid variant) are only on the top variant.
